part 6:
it had been four days since rk was staying at his own house as a guest. everyone was kind and nice to him but that further deepened his guilt. though he and madhu didn't talked too much but he started to see a great friend in madhu. but he still thought about dipali. he wanted to know if she missed him though that was least likely to be the case.
then one evening he went to madhu's room as he wanted to talk about something. the door was slightly open so he entered without knocking. but guess that was a big mistake !!
OH!! STAY THERE !!!! AND...AND TURN AROUND YOU IDIOT !!!
madhu was wearing the silk lace nightie and was admiring herself in front of mirror when rk had unexpectedly barged in. martha had gifted her and asked her to try , though it was a little short. she was checking herself out when she saw rk's reflection in the mirror with his jaw dropping to floor.
madhu quickly turned around and didn't knew what to say until she found a scream coming out of her throat.
madhu: oh!! stay there !!!and...and turn around you idiot !!
it took few seconds for rk to understand what she meant snd he quickly turned around .but his mind was reeling about something else. the dress perfectly displayed her curves. she was looking damn hot !!
finally rk pushed the thought out of his mind and madhu asked him to turn.
he saw her siting in her bed beneath layers of bed sheet. she was now wearing a t shirt over her it.
rk: (didn't knew what to say) you...you look beautiful.
madhu: thanks!! wait, what??
rk: i...i mean i am sorry, i should have knocked.
madhu: it's okay. you wanted anything??
rk: oh!! well i just came here to ask about your school !!
madhu: yes, i forgot to tell you. since you won't be able to come to my college. we will be having a tutor tomorrow onward who will be teaching you and me.
rk: you too?? but you...
madhu: i know i go to college. but what's the harm with extra studies??
rk grinned. he would have laughed at anyone who would have told him same thing a week back because studies bored him to death. but now he wanted to study as long as possible because it gave him a chance to understand her and to be with her. and he felt strangely happy with her around.
rk: so how's everything at your school ??
madhu: strange.
rk: why?? (he could see her coming to the point)
madhu: ever and rk are missing. sorry, i forgot to tell you. ever is or i say was my friend. she was weird but lovely.
rk: and who is this rk??
madhu: he is the richest and most handsome boy of our college. and i must say most haughty and arrogant also.
the thing is that both rk and ever are missing since the fresher's party.
rk: so ??
madhu: i am worried about ever and a lil bit for him too.
rk smiled when she said the last part. he was surprised that she was worried for a person she barely knew. maybe that was madhu.
next day:
rk was surprised to see his new tutor. he was a round bellied sort heighted person named - bittu but everyone called him bittuji and so did rk and madhu. madhu had earlier told rk that he gay and had a boyfriend of three years.
bittuji took a two hour long class and gave rk lots of things to study to keep him occupied. rk and bittuji instantly hit off and they were soon to become best of friends.
that evening rk again went to madhu's room but this time after knocking on the door. and madhu too was wearing her t shirt and pajamas this time.
rk: my net connect is not working. could i borrow your laptop ?? i have to gather some information about the project that bittuji gave me.
madhu: sure.
rk: sat on the bed and started to work on her laptop.
but as soon as he turned it on he was surprised . madhu's desktop wallpaper was an old photograph of madhu and her parents along with him and his parents.
madhu : that's the pic of my third birthday. mohan uncle and radha aunty came with their son and i disliked him from that moment.
rk: (curious) why??
madhu: he broke tina's leg!!
rk: tina?
rk tried hard to remember of he broke anyone's leg, especially a girl's!!
madhu: tina was my doll !! she was lovely (madhu seemed quiet upset even now)
rk: i am sorry.
madhu: why are you saying sorry?? i too punched his nose !! and his daddy also scolded him (she said proudly)
rk: you've have to be kidding !!!
madhu smiled proudly.
madhu: i avenged tina's accident !!
rk : you are mad madhu!!
madhu: i know it !! (she beamed with joy).
rk too smiled at her childish behavior.
soon days turned into weeks and weeks into months. madhu and rk came closer and their friendship strengthened and a feeling called love also crept in. they would read together and have lots of fun with martha, oscar and bittuji.
rk even built a greenhouse for roses. madhu had a great interest in cooking and she made different dishes (sometime burnt) and tasted them on rk. only rk knew how he managed to hid those burnt cookies beneath the sofa until oscar found them next day and madhu didn't talked to him for a whole day.
then came the Halloween and madhu asked rk to come with her. rk agreed because today everyone would be dressed weirdly.
madhu herself was dressed as witch.
madhu and rk went to city carnival .madhu and rk went to scary house and madhu tightly clutched to rk as she was afraid of both ghosta and dark. madhu felt a strange relief and comfort with him around. then they both went to monster's feast. while madhu was busy dancing with little kids dressed as zombie rk went towards his old house where he used to live with dipali. and to his horror he found dipali and mukund making out in the front stairs !!!
rk: dips !!
both mukund and dipali turned towards the voice but rk had hid behind the bush.
dipali: i thought i heard rk!!
mukund: me too.
dipali: you know what, it's a kind of relief with him gone.
mukund: yeah!! me too used to feel pressured with him around.i had to tug along with him.
dipali: forget it, he is long gone.
rk felt a stride of jealousy and anger inside. how dumb he was!! how could he think of her to be his love??
he turned around but was stumped to see madhu standing behind him.
rk: madhu!! i...i ...
madhu: i know what you are thinking!!
rk was shocked , what if she really knew??
rk: what??
they both started to walk towards home.
madhu: that this despo dipali sucks!! it have been only four months since his boyfriend disappeared and this b***h has been sleeping around with a new boy every night!!!
rk: (gloomy) yup!! it wasn't true love!!
madhu: of course!! had it been , she would have searched for him. don't know why but i miss him.
rk: you liked him??
madhu: yes and no.
rk: what does that mean??
madhu: i didn't liked him but i liked the way he fearlessly spoke his mind, though it was dangerous sometimes. i liked his confidence. he was a good orator.
rk: did you ever loved someone??
madhu: yes !!
