I was always the 1st one to say RKs love was real and not revenge and why wouldn't I ? even now when i recall those mesmerising moments, it seems very real. even not being able to tolerate rks taunts to MB during mandap scene and post breakup, somewhere i did not want to believe the truth deep down. but after todays epi, im shocked and have come to accept revenge theory. Even when pouring his heart out in a drunken state he said 'badla...', that is clear indication as any that it is revenge. If it is revenge then his love was never true, i dont buy this half baked theory that in the process of taking revenge, he fell in love and did not realise it until he lost her because i truly believe that if you love someone, you can NEVER hurt them intentionally, esp not to the degrading level like RK did, truelovers take on all of their lovers pain even if they are apart and cannot be together they protect them from pain, not give them pain. Some of the things that Rk did to MB in the name of revenge were unforgivable, but i was prepared to forget them if there was a big reason behind what i believed to be fake revenge and if his love was real.
I did have some hope when he said 'mere swaal ka jawab do...tum ne aisa kyun kiya' at that point i thought that maybe he took revenge cos of a misunderstanding, ie maybe someone has told him that MB has betrayed him in someway or done something behind his back. But that did not happen and it began to dawn on me that it is revenge. SO disappointed and feel badly let down, i really had hope that there was some reason. It did not even have anything to do with rk maybe feeling guilty for the Ballu fiasco or putting her life in danger which some viewers thought could be a reason for the breakup or just that he felt he is unlucky in love and pushed her away toprotect her from himself.
I know it is an indian serial and anything is possible, but this revenge storyline is too much to stomach. Even if you dont fall in love with someone, but after spending time with them like MB did with RK during the time of their marriageand caring for him after shooting, you would warm to the other person and become close, even as friends etc just in the name of humanity, but positively hating them is not the done thing.
finally, i did not like the so called confession or revealing of true feelings in a drunken state. for me it belittled it and felt like an insult to it all. I think if they said it all when they were sober would have been more effective, eg during an angry outburst like the 5th slap and dupatta scene which was really gripping. The drunken state made a mockery of it all intertwined with dance sequences. It lacked the intensity and passion of the 5th slap scene. also, once the hang over and effects of alcohol have gone ppl dont remeber what happened the night before and so there is a question mark over whether they would remember what was said and so it would lose its purpose, i suppose they will remember cos its a serial. Alternatively, It may back fire if MB thinks RK spiked her drink and that he was lying once again as part of revenge for 5th slap. And who would blame her, the only way he could have been redeemed is if there was a big reason forhim pushing her away and faking revenge, but it was obvious from todays epi that there is not.
if it is revenge, i dont think he can redeem himself, maybe in the serial he can, but he wont be able to in the viewers eyes, its gone too far for that. The heart is shattered beyond repair.
