There was a scene in the show which showed RK drink the tea that his mom had prepared and later dip into the cup to lick the sugar which had settled at the bottom of the cup. This scene seemed to be symbolic of something but I could not figure it out at the time. Now in the light of recent episodes I wonder whether this could be a reference to his life.
If RK is really taking revenge on Madhu, here is my interpretation of that scene. Madhu (which also means honey and which can be taken to mean sugar here) enters into a bitter marital relationship with RK (the tea). Although RK consumes the tea, he does not let her sweetness mix in it. Now that the sham marriage is over and the cup of his life empty again, he notices her sweetness which has settled at the bottom, but does not throw it all away. She is very much intact and whole, much like the strong Madhu we are seeing now. Much like the RK who ended up clandestinely licking the sugar at the bottom of the tea cup, we may see the man relish her in secrecy..
