unique divorce!!!

i thought that was a unique way! was there any serial that showed such an unwedding!!! i am not an avid serial watcher, so i don't know.

i remember one old telugu movie (don't know d name). i think heroine was Ramya Krishnan. i vaguely remember d story line. her husband wants to divorce her (for other woman?). she tells him, you married me in front of elders n relatives, so u also divorce him in front of them. she prints an invite, inviting people for this divorce. d way she takes it, d husband starts feeling very guilty and i think he learns his mistake. i dont remember d ending. what i remember is the unique way she goes abt dissolving her marriage. court is vry clinical n easy. but when traditional n family is involved it is not!!!

that is why i found this way unique in our serial. has it happned in any other serial?
