We were talking of RK going to London, as that was in a tellybuzz video on 16th or 19th January, Madhu comes back to find him and Bittuji tells her he has gone to London. So he will be away for a time possibly don't know if we can trust tellybuzz videos.
Yesterday it got me thinking that perhaps RK is ill, but now I've discounted this explanation. But the reason I was thinking that is the CV's will have to make us accept Madhu should be with RK right...so they will give him a disease, but now I've come up with the much much simpler explanation (madhu's letter to her mother)

I now think that RK decided on this revenge plot last minute because of reading Madhu's letter to Padmini, RK realised how selfish he was being to take a girl so close to her family away just to be with him alone. That's why he asks her to return to her family and breaks their relationship, for him he has to go away from those Bhatia's and also the film industry because he knows new rivals will come up and he wants to leave the industry when he is on top. But for her he doesn't want to tear her away from her family now. However he will miss her dearly that's why he uses the contract to force her to also do films so he can be close to her.
There was an episode RK said that he entered the industry to get love, however fans are fickle there is always someone else ambitious coming up to replace you in their affections, but Madhu she is just for him, her love will always be with him alone. So that element also exists for him.
Initially, RK will hurt Madhu hugely so that she does leave him and go back to her parents but he will miss her use the contract for her to join films to remain in contact with her whilst she is on set, when they are together and the audience will be able to see how much RK is suffering not being with Madhu and his controlling and jealousy when she is on set they will be okay with her returning to him later as a couple, without inventing a disease for RK.
