I had to push myself to watch today's episode considering the promo and the articles that followed the promo have already given out way too much information about the impending doom of the Rishabala relationship. I was optimistic yesterday even after seeing the promo but when I saw the article backing up the promo and stating that RK is really out to get his revenge my heart sank since all my optimism went down the drain and I couldn't actually enjoy today's episode despite being a decent one without scrutinizing every move, every word uttered and every action of RK. My mind was trying to find if there is any hidden agenda/meaning to his actions and all I saw was a straight faced RK who was not giving out any kind of vibe neither good nor bad. He was not giving out anything and the more I kept looking for clues I only ended up with a headache. I am one of those viewers who is emotionally invested in the show and Rishabala and this track is definitely going to take a toll on emotions and drain the energy when Madhu relives her pain of betrayal and the heartbreak caused by revenge and I am hoping that in a way RK will also be in pain considering that she is afterall his cure for his ailment/illness. One cannot live without the other regardless of the status of their relationship. If that is not the case, then the song "Hum hai deewane" does not make any sense and it is utter rubbish if the CVs fail to portray the ishq and junoon in a manner the song depicts.
I watched today's episode with a heavy heart and thankfully the CVs had some sense to retain some decency and morale in RK's character by not forging ahead with SR. There was definitely passion and desire in Madhu's eyes when she said that she is all his and she will not say no to anything when he purposely asks her if she will stop him as though wanting her to stop him. An overwhelming sense of sadness gripped me when I saw her lying on the bed with her eyes closed and a single tear drop rolling down her cheeks while she was completely offering herself to him with no reservations. Both DD and VD were fabulous in that intimate scene especially DD. I think they must have asked VD to purposely withold his emotions/expressions and keep a straight face to the most part. I don't know for some reason I felt that there was uneasiness in RK as though he caught himself from doing something that he was not supposed to do. If he is all about revenge then why not take advantage of her. He had several occasions to take advantage of her. There was the occasion at the studio and there is the situation now where she herself gives him full permisssion to do as he wishes. Don't tell me he has morales and values those morales? If that is the case then he will not stoop so low to have taken advantage of an innocent girl who is truly, madly and blindly in love. I love the character of RK too much just like Madhu and to see the CVs defame his character in split seconds is not sitting well with me. Of course he will be back with his zinger dialogues and his BBB style but for that happen do we have to really put up with the character losing its credibility. It would hurt me to see him go back to his ways in the name of revenge. Let's say at some point, the CVs justify his behavior and try to redeem his character I would still not be able to accept him whole heartedly at that point as there will always be that sense of doubt whether he is being real or once again faking it and that's why I mean retaining the credibility of any character is key to the success of the character regardless of the character being portrayed good or bad. To me, RK still is a man of values despite him being arrogant, haughty and proud. By showing him that he would stoop so low just to satisfy his ego is beyond my imagination and his statement to her when he said that the first time he saw her his mind stopped working and his heart has taken over sounded genuine to me but looks like the CVs would show that was also one of his facades.
Kaka/Kaki were so sweet when they were blessing them and gave Madhu the green bangles. Was RK really smirking looking at her bangles thinking that no green bangle in the world is going to save you from the impending heartbreak? I guess not but my mind was trying to find ways to see if that's what he was thinking. The conversation in the car gave away some hints with RK still questioning her if she is OK to go with him for good and why is that question? Was he expecting a different answer? I don't think so because she is like a open book to him when he masks/guards his emotions and feelings so very well. While she was in cloud 9 to be with him and all that mattered was him and him only he was more straight faced and questioning her all the while expecting her to say something indifferent. She was chirpy, bubbly and her happy self while he had a poker face and looked as thought he was a man on a mission. If it wasn't for the promo, I would have thought of the mission to be the one where they both go away. Now, all I could think is, is he plotting for her downfall and gauging how far along he has taken her in this ride of trust, respect, love and marriage.
When they walk into the mansion, he says that this would be the last time they enter the house as they will be leaving everything and everyone behind and then goes on to say that he does not care if the world calls him a fool for his actions but he is happy with her company, scotch an chicken. Why is he even talking about alcohol when all he needed was Madhu and her company? Is n't that what he used to say before? Do we have to look for an underlying meaning in this dialogue of his? Did he not tell Kaka yesterday that doctor has asked him not to drink alcohol and when and why was he advised that way? All I could remember was Madhu throwing away all his alcohol and when did he see a doctor and why was he advised not to drink? Are the CVs trying to hide his health condition and if that is the reason behind this twist, it would be so cliched.
I know that most of the folks are excited about this revenge track as they were wanting a dark love story and I guess they are going to get one pretty soon. I personally have no clue as to how to receive this track and process it. To me, the CVs took a cheap shot by defaming one of their lead characters to incorporate the much awaited heroine track. It does not have to go down this way. Atleast, they should have hinted and showed RK's intentions were not all that genuine and revenge is at the back of his mind atleast to us viewers. How are they going to show that revenge was always in his mind when his actions prove otherwise? The optimist in me wants to believe that he will be forced to act that way simply to disguise his actual intentions which might me saving her and protecting her from harm's way. By that I mean from Dipali's accusations. I can clearly see Dipali accusing Madhu of being selfish and taking RK away from his mom and the rest of his family when she finds out their plan and RK just to prove her wrong creates a situation where he accepts the blame and decides to fall in her eyes by pulling the plug on the marriage. Once again, if Dipali has her hand in this twist, I will be disappointed with the CVs since they have to go back to her and use her as though she is the sole person who could be used to spice up the story. If only they had not killed Ballu, we would have had interesting dynamics with an antagonist as powerful as him. Now, we have to make do with Dips, Sikki and Kukku who to me are not formidable villains by any means.
