What Madhu is trying to say is: yes, it was unpleasant and yes, it was a wrong decision... but your mother loves you. She hasn't abandoned you. She would do anything to have a good relationship with you and you miss her so much as well! Why deprive her and yourself of a very sweet relationship because of past ills? Can't you forgive her the mistake she made and go on from there? Why reject a mother's love on top of the troubles you have had to face?

and Rishabh is now understanding this. Acutally all these days there was no one to make him do this. After having ignored her and not spoken to Radhaji for years, he couldn't wake up one day and start talking to her normally. It needed a third party intervention and Madhu provided that. By forcing him, persuading him, by cutting a deal with him (I'll work with my family if you work with yours), by making him see sense.
