i don't think there is anything weird about it! i guess he wanted to stretched the three letters to say he loves her alot or it could be that he was just in a play full mood with his BIWI!

You are right - especially kids who do not grow up in a homely and affectionate atmosphere like RK (after his dad died) - find it difficult to express their love.

Also, it could be that he is not 100% sure of Madhubala's love and is therefore on his guard 😊
