Guys if you have beaten this particular horse dead already, I don't intend to revive it. I just thought about it and hence the post.
I had a thought about Bittuji. RK is preparing to set everything right with Madhu's family before he leaves filmy duniya, aisho aram and go live the life of aam admi. Lekin what about Bittuji? Unke bare mein RK ka kya plan hai? Yeh to maine socha hi nahi.
Bittuji has be the only confidant, friend, big brother (as RK unko manta hai) which RK had in his life before Madhu became an integral part of RK's life. He has been chief's right hand in bringing all kinds of atrocities on Madhu initially and carrying it out to the letter. He has never questioned RK's motives (good or bad), always trusted his chief, is his staunch loyal supporter in everything and has witnessed all good and bad things that has happend to his chief.
What would be his reaction if and when he finds out about RK's plan to leave the showbiz. This move directly affects him. What will he feel? Betrayed, dismayed, disappointed, angry, dejected? He will be well within his rights to feel all these emotions. Though he is one of the few people who knows ki RK ko samazana itna aasan nahin hai, will he still trust RK and think that RK must have planned something for him as well and RK will not just leave him to fend for himself?
Maybe RK has plans for Bittuji to be Trishna's advisor in her filmy career?
As shown today RK does not have a well thought plan yet. However given RK 's character, I cannot see him leaving anyone in lurch. He might get Bittuji another job or bestow some of his riches on him or maybe even offer him a new role in his dream life.
I might be the only odd one here but so far I have been taking his plan literally. When says he wants to go away, I thought he wanted to relocate to some jungle with his wife, discard his wealth and sever ties with his family and friends.
However today I felt that all he has been conveying is his desire to get away from showbiz and emotional high/lows that come due to its pitfalls(politics/fame/expectations/paparazi/uncertainity). He yearns for a more simpler and grounded life. He wants to spend life with his wife and kids in a cozy household full of love and honesty. He wants a life where the Bhatia family drama and fame does not intrude in his personal life and he is free to pursue his other artistic inclinations . That does not necesarrily mean that he will sever the ties with family completely or donate his entire wealth, It just means that he will not be making big bucks and will not be involved in thier extended family affairs on day to day basis. It means that he wants to ensure that he and his wife make each other thier primary and only priority with the exception of thier kids.If you think about it, it is not an unusual desire...almost all real life celebrities have expressed similar desires in thier interviews from Big B to SRK and many have succeeded in creating that bubble in thier lives. Many celebrities have resorted to sending kids abroad to protect them from pitfalls of too much wealth/fame and success. RK's character just plans to take it one step ahead by changing his profession.
He needs to ask that question and test Madhu because once he takes that step...he is going to need Madhu to stick by him and live life with him in comparitive poverty, anonymity and curb her materialistic desires.
What is interesting about this is that to achieve that he really does not need to run away...he can comfortably create that bubble in his current life with the help of his wife.
