Part Eight

RK left Madhu standing stunned in the foyer as he began to walk towards Radha's bedroom.

Madhu figured it'd be best to give him and his mother some time alone, so she returned to her room.

RK reached Radha's room and stood outside it for a moment thinking to himself, RK...do you really want to do this?

And with that question still on his mind, he knocked at the door.

A few seconds passed and then the door began to open.

As a tearful Radha opened the door and saw RK, her jaw fell to the ground. She looked around RK, as though she were expecting Madhu or anyone else around.

RK kept his eyes on Radha as she finally met his eyes again.

RK instantly looked away and attempted to look behind Radha, checking for Kuku.

"It's just...me..." she said in her shocked form.

As RK found out she was alone in the room, he walked in and sat on the edge of the bed.

Radha turned to stare at him. He held his head down in despair. She realized he had also been crying, she wanted to call out for him but she couldn't. Then suddenly she saw him pat down on the bed beside him.

Radha went to sit beside him.

There was a moment of silence as Radha stared at him trying to figure out what was on his mind. Then he spoke.

"I'm sorry..." he spoke quietly and closed his eyes.

"N...no...for what...Rishu..." she was confused.

"I couldn't save them..."

"Save who Rishu..."

"Si...Sikander...Preity...It was...them..."

Radha's eyes shot open as she heard the words she was dreading. Tears began flowing out of her eyes again. Her heartbeat increased as she became frantic.

"N...no...it can't...NO!" she screamed and stood up.

RK stared up at her as she stood. She put her hands to her face and then suddenly she began swaying. RK stood and caught his mother just in time.

"MA!"

She passed out in his arms from the news. RK slowly placed her down and screamed out Madhu's name.

He shook his mother and attempted to make her gain consciousness again.

"SOMEONE CALL THE AMBULANCE!"

Madhu rushed into the room and was shocked to see Radha unconscious on the ground. She rushed over to her side.

"Ma?! Ma! RK?! What happened!"

"I told her the truth!" RK said in a frantic voice as he watched Bittuji calling for an ambulance.

RK rushed to Radha's bathroom and wet his hands. He splashed Radha's face and saw slight movement.

"MA?" Madhu spoke loudly while trying to get Radha's full attention.

"Rishu..." Radha spoke softly.

"Ma, ma I'm here." RK spoke in a worried voice.

Madhu shot her wide eyes up at RK. She couldn't believe she had heard what she just did...Ma? Madhu thought.

Radha raised her hand to touch RK's face. RK placed his hand over Radha's on the side of his face to help her.

"Rishu...beta...?"

"Ma..."

Tears flowed out of her eyes as she tried to gain full consciousness. She wanted to smile but couldn't due to the news her son had just delivered her.

RK helped Radha sit up just as the ambulance people rushed in.

"What's the emergency?" one of the men asked.

"She just collapsed after I gave her some news..." RK spoke to the paramedic.

"Shocking news?"

"Yes."

The paramedic nodded his head and went to check Radha's pulse and blood pressure.

After a minute the paramedic turned towards RK.

"Her bp is a bit high, she's going to have to take this medicine," the man pulled out some pills, "she doesn't need to be taken to the hospital, but please avoid any more shocking news of any sort."

RK simply nodded his head as the guy stood and left.
