Hi, Today I had to make, what I hate.. Serious Post. Firstly I wanna congradulate most of you for bringing yourselves and others to the extent where you and others have stopped enjoying the show. Someone or the other is not happy with this, that or the other. I caught up this weeks show and I honestly cannot see your negative points justified in my POV.
Maybe both the groups will somewhat agree with me - OR completely disagree with what I'm going to write. BUT this is my honest opinion... If you like it - fine, if you don't - pls share your respective view but don't attempt to change mine. Thank you.
I haven't read all posts here this week - but have kind of picked up things here and there...
So here goes nothing.
My Drool - Don't worry Mods - it wont be enough for you to run and fetch your mop and bucket. 😆
DD - The scene where she comes wearing her black and pink dress and stands behind Radha outside the kitchen. That dress was a perfect fit on her. It was nice to see DD in a bold colour like black, she looked lovely - I wish they would have styled her duppata on the side to reveal more of her outfit.
RK - That marroon shirt - Bad fitting. Colours were complimenting. The black party suit.. Uff you were ready to kill - I was ready to die. You were killing in that suit. Uff
DD/MADHU
She's made me laugh this week on a number of occassions so Kudos to DD there. DD is amongst the very few actresses in the industry who can boldly entertain with some loud acting and gestures. DD, Sanaya, Priyal Gor are such actresses which show such confidence infront of the camera.
But yes they are good...
DD/MADHU made me laugh.. I loved her pricking RK, How she was trying the fool him into putting the needle away. All this was fab... cute performance. BUT I feel this was more Geet rather than Madhu. And no doubt Geet character is a comfort zone for DD and she falls into it with such ease. BUT Madhu is different... where one min you are watvhing Madhu the next min it feels like you are watching Geet. Which is fine.BUT bad direction... why? Because it feels as though the link in the transition is missing. Madhu is a simple character and most of the time her character energy level is a 1... then all of a sudden the energy level hits 3 (Which is more geet's higher energy level). You see what I mean the energy level straight hits from 1 - 3. So it feels unblended. Unbalanced.
I do see a lot of Abhay in RK - Esp in the ambulance when he sat there arrogantly - He was more Abhay than RK - in my POV. Sometimes I see Vivian fluctuating between RK and Abhay too. For example if Abhay's character level was on energy level 1 then Rk is on a energy level 2. There is not much difference. So the switch doesn't feel dramatic... it's blended and gradual - and you don't feel that it's missed a energy level as both the characters energy level was similar.
So sometimes the actors play out of character which is seen as underacting/overacting. BUT it is the job of the directors and script writers to take care of this.
Many a times - I have noticed in emotional scenes where DD is crying as Madhu... and she hardly blinks. When people cry - they blink.. rub their eyes etc... I will say sometimes in my pov for me the crying is unrealistic. However I loved her crying scene when she hugged Shamsher and you could feel her pain - it was a 10/10 scene for me.
Aarti's crying scenes are always pleasing to watch.. the way she scruches her eyes, sniffs.. it looks more realistic - all her facial muscles are working. When Madhu cries it's more a weeping porcelin doll look. Though there have also been time when she has really hit the floor and crying out loud.. and those scenes - I find more realistic. U can feel the pain with the character. An actor should make you laugh and cry. DD can make u laugh with her - I credit her with that, but sometimes in the emotional scenes I cannot connect with her.
RK - Doesn't make me cry..
but constantly makes me smile and laugh when he's funny.
Abhay made me cry - esp the scene when he left Pia in the snow - and that look on his face.. how he gritted his teeth together to control his crying.. his face screamed of lost hope. That scene esp gets me each time.
BUT This weeks scene - when RK said to Madhu "After your family probs are sorted will you come with me". This completely took me back to Abhay - This brought tears in my eyes.. See how his energy level was more at level 1 Abhay's level rather than his normal RK energy level 2. There was depth in his words... He was seeking the answer with hope. You could feel his heart was beating and sinking at the same time. He wanted a reassuarance, actually he needed it. Coz at that point - he felt he had found one loop to regain his confidence in his relationship - and didn't have the enrgy to loose that too. He was a broken man.. yet with some little confidence remaining to make sure he doesn't crumble - or look like he's throwing in a sympathy card.
That scene and the hug was soo deep - from both leads. I can't believe it has been brutally criticised. If you understood that scene and what it meant - it wasn't a confession - it was an achievement... this was a mental rebirth moment for RK as Rishabh.
His blank expression wasn't lazy acting - I could see the invisible reel running through his mind that was piecing this relationship together... his understanding of it. He was contemplating a little and validating the genuinity of this revelation and relationship. When he hugged Madhu - it was no ordinary hug or the type of hug that he would have shared with Deepali... It was spiritually sensual - not physically sensual. It was I have come home kind of hug rather than I wanna take you to bed hug.
I honestly wasn't expecting romance here. A romantic play here would have killed that moment.
And when the hold did linger on and he was taking her aroma in - you could see his struggle - where he felt he should pull away and wait.
I applaude Vivian Dsena for his acting here. If he was emoting what I have read watching that scene, then he has done it to excellence. I loved the sensuality when he came behind her and stopped her from removing the picture of the wall.. How he held her hand and turned it... like something precious in his hands. He didn't just hold her hands.. He took them placed them in his own.. looked at them turned them and stroked them... did u not notice the sensuality in all this?
When he pulled her close - Again I wasn't expecting a pull that screamed I wanna take you to bed.. It was more of a egoistic pull to say - Okay missy I have you in my hold - so where are you gonna go now without telling me.. he was teasing her. His energy level was on his usual RK level 2.
I liked the who needle scene etc. BUT I would have liked Madhu to have been more shy, showing sarcastic subtle style. The director and writers should have played this better. Because if you take Madhu from level one to three - you have to justify it. The CV's failed to justify this.. that Madhu is kuch katti - mitti etc, because they never showed us this trait of hers in the past. It is only being revealed after she took a liking to RK. If they would have exposed this trait before.. We viewers could have accepted the jump in energy level with more ease. At the above I am not criticising DD's acting. She was good - It was just a little loud for simple Madhu.
The scene before the party. I loved their romantic nok jok... Is Cari begining to fall for Rishbala finally? I think so.
And I do not think for a min that yet RK has lost attitude. He has fallen for Madhu - and I think it's high time that RK deserved some love and companionship. He hasn't reduced in character... He is still RK... He is still egoistic - This shows with his Dialogues with Ballu. His inetraction and masti with Sasurji and Sasuma. His Avantika jokes with Biwi. He has declared his love for Biwi - But you don't see him staying at home just to spend time with Biwi, or sitting under the stars complimenting her. Cooking dinner for her. NO... Even now his still got his akkar. even after the Hug scene - when Biwi mentioned his mother he got angry and walked off. Infact I'm beginning to see a lot of Abhay's arrogance in him.
I loved the scene when RK came home and told MB he was in the amulance and without thinking she started pulling and pushing RK around. This maybe on a Level 3 energy - but it still fitted really well with Madhu - who is known to get panicky.
And RK's face when she was shoving him abt and his patience - it was all adorable.
Padmini - Why is she always in a rush - she's always acting like a nurse in an emergency who is searching the hospital for that all important last bottle of b+ blood bottle to save someone.
Reelaax.. slow down a little. She came in to MB's house to tell her the Paneer story like it was the last thing she will ever do.
Shamsher - Chalo chodo issey... aaj kal that old Shamsher is lost.
Ballu - Is it my imagination or has this guy gotten crazier and scarier? 😆
In the song where he came up to RK - It felt as though he was singing those dialogues to RK. They fitted more with RK... Maybe Ballu knows more abt RK then we know.
Trishna - She was a mere plot contrivance to move the misunderstanding plot further. Loved the Main Hoon Naa dialogue. I think her outburst was rushed and untimely.
RK and MAA
I Personally think the RK/Radha scenes are interesting to watch. A mother that he loathes - but still keeps her and her extended family close why? Certainly there is love there. It is time to explore that connection that relationship.
We have to remember it was Radha more than Madhu that woke Rishab kundra up, with three single words. RISHABH MOHAN KUNDRA. Only after this RK started being more Rishabh... Then Madhu started getting interested in exploring Rishabh.
So I am enjoying this journey of mother and son getting closer. Radha scenes I don't like are the ones where she interferes between Madhu and RK. Like the picture frame - she gave it to Madhu, so there was no need for her to instruct the servant to go and put it up.
So no I don't mind Radha - it is more her scenes with Madhu sometimes which are boring and unnecessary - which turn the show in to a saas bahu serial. This should be more limited, so the dynamics of the original concept is not lost.
So all in all - I just wanna say that there are so many lovely things happening in the show and if you open your mind and eyes you will see it too.
If you carry on tit for tat attacking each other - you will put yourself off the show, the characters and eventually your own fav lead too.
Naturally sometimes after watching the show you say comments which are said harshly. Like once Deepak last week criticised Madhu for staying silent and everyone forgot how much he actually likes DD/Madhu - but still rashan paani le ke char gaye.
Sometimes you have to give the TM the benefit of the doubt and understand their POV.
Because sometimes just coz u wanna make a simple point - is it necessary that you have to write an essay to do so? Like I had to write an essay - where as I could have mentioned all this in a simple post.
I honestly feel Vivian is doing a great job - I don't think his personal life is affecting his work. Lets not use Vahb as a easy target for the problem. The problem isn't with Vivah - the problem is with us - IF users who daily thru fights put each other off.
Same with DD... She's doing her job as per the script. We can certainly make suggestions for things where we are not happy with their characters.. but we shouldn't take out CV's gussa on the actors. Besides like I said I think the show is doing fine. Besides the actor and actress do not need our protection. Their careers will reach heights with their work - not with their fans killing each other. Infact we will drive their fans away.
Romance will come - just wait for it... sabbar ka phal meeta hota hai.
Cari..xx
P.S This post is positive, it is my pov.. it may differ from yours - but feel free to share yours too.
but be mindful to not insult each others POV.. Because we don't have the authority nor the audacity to do that . Right?
