Is it really so difficult to accept CRITICISM

I have full confidence that my post is going to turn into a war zone and will in all likely hood be closed..
But I really needed to get this off my chest

I never knew it was so difficult to accept CRITICISM..that too not your own..but of an actor or actress whom you love and adore..but who is nonetheless most likely unaware of your existence..
I generally have a hard time accepting my faults when a senior points it out but more often than not I tend to accept it if its reasonable and try to rectify them..
But what I see here..in MB forum to be specific and IF in a broader sense is the complete lack of tolerance for others view if they in any way are not to one's liking..And this applies to both the male and the female lead fans..

They are a passionate lot..kudos to them for that..but quite often they are unreasonable to..
I guess its because passion and love is blinding after all..or may be it is because of the anonymity that internet offers that people tend to say harsh and rude words to other members without considering their choice of words even for a second..

Since when has saying that they disagree with the characters doing or saying that they felt the actor/actress was not upto the mark equal to bashing the actor/actress and gives an open license for the fans to start abusing the member who posted their thoughts and start attacking the opposite lead to prove that your favorite is better..

I guess IF members think that the adage 'live and let live' is passe..
They abide by 'My way or the Highway'

Disclaimer: I am migratory bird to this forum..Though I dont post here frequently, I am well aware of the stuff that has been happening in the forum..This is an unbiased view from someone who happens to like both the leads after watching the show..

Well if I still have to specify what I am talking about, I have indeed done a very bad job..

Turns out in a bid to not offend any fangroup, my post has probably become non specific and jumbled.

Let me spell it out, I am proclaiming my amazement at the lack of tolerance each fangroup has to the criticism of their favorite and how they are ever ready to bash members with opposing views and likes..

You said it buddy..the madness of fandom..
Its apparently more important to defend your favorite by putiing others down than to mind the feelings of co members..

And let me clarify again, this is more often than not done by both sides..

I will still say that its both the sides, may be one more than the other, but its definitely a two way street..atleast from what I have seen..

I completely agree..its like since you dont really know the person and since you cannot see how your words affect them, you let loose..
the words people say in the name of defending..it gets beyond vitriolic sometimes..

And all this to defend your favorite who doesn't even know that you exist..
