Remember to the earlier days of MEIEJ with Balraj, the priest/seer who looked into the past of Balraj and identified that he killed his first wife and then he reveals that the 2nd wife also would bear a daughter for Balraj, then his parting remark as he was walking away that this child would grow in fame and as she does Balraj will be loosing fame and fortune and she on the winning side would be the daughter, her increasing her fame and fortune. That guy should be traced before he negligently gives more psychic information knowing what he knew of Balraj, he shouldn't have told him that he was having another daughter firstly then to tell him that Balraj would be come poor etc as the child leaves on getting more wealth...totally unconcerned what trouble he has left for the child and her mother. Poor Padmini and Madhu with priests walking around talking like that and putting them in trouble.

I think when Padmini left the Chowdhury's and her family refused the responsibility of her and her children she should have gone to find that priest/seer and tell him off for his loose tongue.

knowing what he knew of balraj he shouldn't have revealed the rest of what he knew of the future.

I agree that the priest made the stroryline strong for viewers, as we were looking forward to that track, we still are, and when we saw Balraj in the prison we knew what was happening to him because of that priest but were it to be in our own lives we would want to have a strong word with him and ask him why he saw fit to disclose this knowing that Balraj would react badly.

Agreed Nafs, the priest is brainless, but this was needed for the foundation of Madhubala's story! ;)
