sargi is the pre-dawn meal that a Mother-in-law gives her daughter-in-law who is keeping a dawn-to-dusk fast as a prayer for her son's well-being and long life. It comprises of mathri (salty fried snack), mithai (sweet), kaju-kishmish aur badaam (dry fruits), and the like. After sargi comes baya, a token gift that her mother-in-law gives her daughter-in-law to mark the special occasion in the lives of the two women as well as the son/husband. Radha is just the weakest character in RK mansion...makes me wonder: does this woman have a mind of her own or is it Dipz who decides for her ????
