Guys go back and watch the first day of RiMa wedding. Rk takes her to the studio and makes her his spot. Then he actually says GANPATTI BAPPA MURIYA and breaks the coconut in front of his statue. God then they have a track where Rk is shown hating Ganpatti.

I noticed that. I actually went back and watched all the old Rishbala scenes after I watched RK get shot. I saw that scene and got confused. I don't question this serial anymore ahaha I'm just letting it go as it wants! Even if it confuses me...

I asked the same question when I read the article about RK not believing in god, we discussed it and thought it was a blooper (that they forgot that scene at the set of the movie) but we concluded that RK knows what is expected of him, on shooting of a new film, it's the tradition in the workplace to have that puja before shooting starts, so work traditions and the people in the workplace are probably believers, so he does it in the workplace for those reasons, but in his own home he was angry with Ganpati bappa for not intervening to help his father to not commit suicide or possibly wake him up to save his father from killing himself, but even though articles say he stopped believing he didn't he was just upset, he saved the akinjot (lamp) from being extinguished also the kebabs he was pretending to give as offering were veg kebabs. But he wanted to appear as an atheist to the family, big show of not believing but he actually did but he was angry with god and wanting some answers, I liked the scene when he railed at god regarding his dad's suicide but also the scene after his discharge from hospital when he said he agreed to the extent of his punishment god meted out to him (the shooting), so he got his answer I suppose.

Nice observation. I remember that scene, but forgot the coconut breaking part!

I guess he was living in the moment when he cracked the coconut or face value diplomacy.
