I don't think RK was much affected by Deepali choosing Sikky over him as much as he was affected by his father's demise and his mother's re-marriage. I think somewhere in heart, he already knew that Deepali is an ambitious, greedy and opportunistic person while he was dating her. So after she left him he may have been heart broken for sometime, but sooner that he realized that he is better off without her and that he was never really in love with her, he got over her in no time and started flirting with girls for timepass. But this time he got smart and played like a pro. He nvr allowed anyone to come close enuff to him to take advantage of him and later break his heart and ditch him again. He nvr had any deep unhealed wounds or grudges against Deepali. He just simply hates her to the core for using him as pawn and for bruising his ego by choosing Sikky over him, for marrying his useless and good for nothing Step Brother. But when Deepali got wat she deserved that is failure, unsucessful career and an A** H*** for a husband he got satisfied and forgot Deepali like an old history chapter. Now her existance doesn't bothers him unless she goes over board with her tactics to draw his attention which infuriates him and he gives a be-fitting reply to her, which she deserves. Now Deepali is equavilant to being invisible to him. This is the reason when true love came in his life, he started changing a bit. That is why Madhu's unselfish nature has made place in his heart and he fell for her or shud I say started having some feelings for her this fast. Dips nvr affected RK like Madhu's true love. Neither her love, nor her betrayal and abandonce, even her pleading and act of repentance in order to get back in his life. Deepali nvr had and nvr will affect RK like Madhu.
