What is a dark love story? And how is it different from a normal love story?

Answer: When a person falls unconditionally in love with a person whom he/she wud not fall in love under NORMAL cicumstances, thats the definition of a dark love story.
In normal circumstances, going by all the logics, u can never love that person...u know its not RIGHT...u shud love some other person but u r not able to...u r falling for a person who is all wrong for u...but u still can't help it to fall irrevocably in love with that person.

Lets take an example now - Twilight (i know bad example for Twilight haters but still this movie does define a dark love story 😆)
Bella shud have chosen a guy like Jacob who is sweet, nice to her and loves her like anything...he wud given her a normal and happy life...but she chose Edward who was not even human, who can only hurt her, who was no good for her...that was not normal for her or for anyone, but dark love stories r never NORMAL!...logics always fail here...

Thank U for the lesson. This really helps a lot. Although there is always the option of wikipedia and other ways too too to get the meaning of dark love story, if you are familiar with internet and online medium.

Now coming back to this MB show...yes I always knew that Madhu has to fall unconditionally in love with RK with her Ishq and Junoon to make it a dark love story...otherwise this love story can never b called a dark love story

And if u still can't digest dark love stories, then go for some kintergarden love stories shows which will go according to ur logics 😆

I have some questions.

1- Can't an uneducated person who only knows the language hindi can watch this show for entertainment and post here his / her views based on what he/she has seen in the episode?

2- Do we really have to take lessons before watching this show?

3- Is there a special criteria for people who can watch Madhubala and also who can post in this forum??

4- Is everyone who watched a show and post here in this forum about the show has to be someone who understands the whole show, background of the concept, character etc?

5- When watching a show can't people wish for something else to happen in the show? For example if a separation track is going on, can't we wish for them to get together soon, if that is what a viewer want? In any case makers will not fulfill everyone's wish. So no harm in wishing right??

6- Even sometimes if we can't digest some of the tracks, we don't have to leave the show just because what we want never happens in the show. We can always continue watching and wishing for what we want and post our wishes here.

P.S I was just confused so the questions. Hope my post doesn't offend anyone.

i agree madhu cant help but to fall in love with bad boy like rk & seeing her undying love , rk will love her back at some point & then together their love ,passion & obsession will become strongest & so much above of the normal love stories .

@ red- I was confused about that part. So all those questions. Cos I believe we can continue watching the show and post our views in the forum even if sometimes we can't digest what they show. As U said we are free to post whatever we feel like.

About quitting the show - when I'm miserable enough (the show is quite depressing already for me), I will quit... Right now, the joy of watching my favourite on screen outweighs that...

Also, I may be the only person who's shipped the Madhu-Mukund pair in this forum... even if it hasn't happened, doesn't mean I can't continue with the serial. I watch it for entertainment on a day-to-day basis and react and judge accordingly. I don't understand the need to police people's thoughts and reactions.

lovely post----I agree that Dark Love Story is a common term but often becomes difficult for many to understand what it actually is----very nice explanation and I am sure that it will help everybody to understand----

coming to much easier examples: angad-Kripa, Prem-Mukti, Abhay Pia. all are dark love stories and so is Twilight (dont be shocked Nishi) 😆

Trying to find logic in dark love story is useless. in all the these stories, like Nishi said Bella isnt supposed to fall for edward, she did. Pia is supposed to forget Abhay and move on with life because it will make her life easier. Mukti could have married anyone else and have a happy life instead of getting consumed in prem because though he confuses her, insults her but also loves her... all not supposed to happen but did because these are love that consumes you, passion that drowns you inside and you can't get outside of it. you know you are WRONG, you could get a easy life, normal happy life with a ordinary guy who would give you a ordinary life like other 100 people, make you happy but still you can't stay away. the dark or complicated heroes attacks you like magnet. their hatred will despise you, their passion will drown you, their care will melt you, their charm will mesmerize you... so doesnt matter how hate them or know how you shouldn't never even go close to them.. you fall for that person most illogically... he might or might not accept you. he will reject you but you cant go away...then your undying love will consume them too..either both of them will be pulled into the darkness destroying each other or the one will bring the other into light... that's a passionate, dark love story...

i hope i make sense 😆 i know i do though 😛
