I gently lifted her chin up, noting the blush that filled her cheeks instantly.

"Biwi, why'd you turn off the lights?"
Realizing that she couldn't lie to me anymore, she let out a small sigh.

"I'm scared of the dark, okay? You know that."

"I do know that. And people who are scared of the dark don't willingly turn off the lights."
She bit her lip and I couldn't help but follow the action.

"I.." I went back to her face, waiting for her to say something. "I know what you mean, RK. It's just that, when I'm with you.. I'm not scared anymore."

Awww...

I realized at that moment, I felt at peace. After one of the craziest days in a lifetime, I felt calm. I felt like this was how all my days were supposed to end, with Madhu by my side. I realized that I could finally let go.

"Good night, Madhu." And as she curled into me, I surrendered myself to sleep.

Sigh,if this happened in the show.🥳🤪
