Rangmunch - Trapped in his own misfortune-RK

Beaten to death, was my first conclusion! Why then was I coming back each day to watch this show? Things got worse when I couldnt wait any longer for the next days episode after last nights , when I watched R.K walk out of the studio with Madhu in his arms.

Don't we all love that knight in shining amour who smoothly walks into our lives when we are not looking and creates that place which even we cannot deter. R.K is a demon and unlike other men who go into a zone of remorse after having hurt someone, this one turns a tab bit colder. He perhaps knows that the world will see him melt, and hence finds the need to steel his exterior a notch up. For a man who can address his mother as "mujhe janam deni waali aurat" one definitely must have had to under-go years and years of internal struggle and turmoil.

This week saw the softer side to R.K as he went looking for Madhu after having humiliated her publicly at a party. At this moment in time, one cannot say he loves her, because there is no liking between the two. But the hatred for sure is so strong, he knows he will have to have her right in front of him every moment just to ensure that he makes her life a living hell. The authority with which he calls her biwi also somewhere indicates that, if there is a relationship that he acknowledges in this world as his own it is this one. Good or bad, right or wrong, complete or incomplete she is his wife. Period. Nothing can change that. Not even him.

Interestingly however, in the days that went by, we got to witness the soft side of R.K for the very first time. The fact that he has been carrying the pain of his father's death, had to come out somewhere, somehow, and it finally did. At some level R.K may not want to admit it, but his heart has begun to trust Madhu and he also believes she is essentially a nice person.

He has always tried to push the wrong button with her trying to see to what extent she will go to. He has provoked her, he has instigated her and he has also humilated her-but deep down he has always known he should never over step that boundary. The other day when that actually happened, is when he realised it was not right. He may pose a nasty exterior to the world, but the conscience that lives inside him would never allow him to move forward without repenting for what he has done.

R.K is safe around Madhu because he knows she will never intentionally go out of her way to malign him despite what he did to her. He belongs to that part of the world where everything around him is fake and put up. A Pintu ji hence acts as the front he puts up to ward off the evils of the industry he personally hates facing. As rightly put by his mother, though he is not the right guy for Madhu, while Madhu definitely is the perfect one for R.K

There is a long time before their hate will perhaps culminate into love, but for starters we have seen the mighty super-star shed his anger, his mask and come forward to help the woman he calls his wife when she needed him the most. Unknown to him as well, he realised he unburdened his heart by telling her how much pain he carried in his heart for all these years. How every thing around him turned little Rishabh into THE R.K.

Knowing all of this, will Madhu now help R.K become Rishabh once again? Or was it just a momentary lapse. We will have to wait find out.
