Yes for the first time he has someone that doesn't have a personal motive from him but genuinely cares more about the person inside. He is scared to develope any kind of feelings for someone again because he doesn't want to feel the pain of loosing them.

Today we saw Rishabh sort of protecting Madhu from the world he wants something to be just his . Imagine guys the one who he could mom went and married another person and the won who he could call dad suicides and his step-dad was just plain mean so he had an artificial life like he mentions in the last line of today's episode states . He is suffocated people only see the ego and selfishness in his life but is it his fault he couldn't sit and cry right? And now he has Madhu who doesn't give a damn about his fake life she doesn't want the glamour she doesn't want Rk she wants Rishabh or to say a guy like Rishabh which makes Rk feel special about Madhu after years some one has wanted know him maybe he irritates her her but he doesn't want to Lose her Madhu is his property he wants her that's why he got her by hook or crook he needs some one to fight with Rk and bring out the Rishabh he wants to sleep with peace he wants to laugh with his heart content he wants to be cared for like the not drinking thing he wants to fight off Rk with the help of Madhu he doesn't want to be an animal he wants to live..

Madhu on the other hand is confused obviously she is seeing good and bad in the same person . He doesn't want her to care for him she doesn't want her to get close to him why is Rishabh n Rk in front of her eyes . Why doesn't Rishabh want her to care for herit is because he doesn't want her to get hurt he doesn't want to be weak again. He doesn't want to live the situation when he was 12 he doesn't that's why . Madhu is just so confused does she care for him or not . Her hearts softening towards him but he hurt her the same. If u see she denied her mom for Rishabh today .
