Discovering Him - 13th Sep 2012 - META

🤣

kya pata MAHABHARAT KI VENUE change ho rahi ho

Those were the words from the wise man Bittuji when he was asked by Radhaji what was the occassion of the party.

😆 True. How can he trust his chief to be a peace timer ? And now that chief's enemy has started showing her colors, how can he even imagine that peace will prevail even if it be a semblance of party amidst society's prominent people and hosted by eminent personality.

That put aside, I wanna talk about the beast himself. Jackie (Black Jaguar) posts are about the beast palace. Madhubala calls her RK as the "jaanwar". While I took the word in poetic and dramatic sense respectively, today for the first time, I feel like analysing Madhubala's jaanwar as seen from my eyes.

Wonder, who marries like that, making a mockery of rituals. Definitely not a jaanwar. Someone highly knowledgeable about rituals and yet making a blasphemy out of it.
An impertinent man. A Bad-tameez. But was it a blasphemy in Rishabh Kundra's eyes ? No. Where there is no faith, there is no blasphemy.

Who makes his wedded wife, a servant and that too amongst the god-fearing, moral society ? Not a Man of the World. Won't his social prestige be at stake ? Then who is Rishabh Kundra ? Is he not a homo sapien, a social animal ? Is he above society and its conventions ? As an actor how much can he influence society and how much can he dictate. or put it correctly, how can he remain alone ? What sustains him ? Why everyone fears him ? Just because he has thugs waiting on him who can beat people to pulp at his express command ?

So what is this being ?
Satan - No. I have not seen him conjuring evil.
Animal - Definitely doesn't seem human animal. And any other animal ? Well, all animals of the jungle follow certain rules including the lonely cats like the lion, knowing its territory, its preys, and its smells.
Then what is he ?
When did Madhubala call him jaanwar ? I remember her saying on the next day of marriage when RK drags her with him from the hospital. I understood she said it out of spite. But actually I never bought it. Because in that situation, RK was not a jaanwar, he was a "Beraham", a merciless, pitiless man.
If Madhu wanted him to call Jaanwar, she needed to specify which kind of jaanwar. Else I am confused man! which animal to pick.

And now as the antics continue between the Miyaan-Biwi, today's ploy from RK to turn her Biwi into a waiter, it was totally to my distaste. I was like which husband does that. 😲Biwi ki izzat gayi to gayi, Miyaan ki izzat ki bhi dhajjiyaan ud gayi !! 😕 As a husband RK is equally losing respect when he is making fun of his wife.

Definitely this man is not a Insaan; human being.
Definitely not a jaanwar; animal ?

Then what is he ?
You know what the closest I could find is the Hindu mythological characters:
Rakshas
Shaitan
Haivan

Monster, Ogre, demon etcetera etcetera..

Madhubala fears this monster. We can see that on her face when the RK monster roars.
But she didn't give a proper adjective to him.

And as for today, in today's venue of Mahabharat (RK's home rather than Kurukshetra), as the ammunition changed to flirtatious behavior, amour, effrontery from the so called "Jaanwar" RK towards his Madhubala in his so famous Madhushala, I couldn't make heads and tails of the specimen that RK is.

He was behaving, he was performing, he turned disgusting...all in all, Madhubala's un-specified jaanwar today seemed a Bandar to me. A menacing monkey.

Have you been tormented by a monkey ? I have been. Its scary.

Shridevi

P.S: The episode continues tomorrow and so my analysis will continue tomorrow as well.

I admire your deep analysis. I have read most of your posts of madhubala...you are able to pen down your thoughts so well amazing👏 .
I can only say positive or negative, or criticize it ...Anyways coming to yesterday's episode...
I agree with you completly.RK shouldn't have made madhu serve the champagne to his guests.after seeing that I was like Crap now we will have to see love blossoming even after all this humiliation between RK and Madhu.
How is it possible? She taking him to her mother's place and making him apologize, Rk humiliating in the party...Rk's humiliation and Madhu's over reaction May spoil things Forget love...Even after so many beautiful analysis from the members in this forum, with my common sense, as a viewer i may lose interest in this show.😆 dhrasti and vivian both are perfect. story line i luv it😊 but can't say how the story will take from here.
Sorry if my post has offended anyone.

thank you Rehan2012, rahmona_pakswe and vaani21.

Vaani,

I agree with you. Already I have been keeping the score card between the two of them. You know what with each passing game, the impact is felt by RK in one or the other manner.

For RK, his journey of knowing Madhubala has been
Admiration of her guts and beauty
Hating her
Avenging himself for sending him to jail
Showing her, her proper place in his world, the lesson that no one teaches or tells RK what to do.

Apart from that with each passing tug of war between the two, RK loses himself to Madhubala, even if he wins on every target that he sets for himself. With each loss of Madhubala, RK cages her more and more and in paradoxical manner, he gets besotted by the same prisoner. For now, he is in a state, where he cannot stand her being NOT PRESENT physically before his eyes.

This is a big development on RK's part.

Where I am disappointed is the other character Madhubala.
There has been NO development of any sort in this girl. The writers are not developing her character at all. She is still the same as she started out. With each loss in handling RK, she has been unable to mentally digest anything. That is completely CRASS for me. I, for one thing, know for sure, what it is to victimized. We are not just hurt, angry and get into hate mode, the victims are withdrawn, feeling pitious on their state, confidence hitting at low levels and somehow picking up on our remnants soul-wise and think of survival. And when surviving, the antennae of the mind become sharper. We start observing more and more, analyze everything about our oppressor.

However, unlike the regular victims, Madhubala, rarely analyses her oppressor. I mean how is the story to progress, if she still behaves the original MB who was hell-bent on getting the man to justice who caused the accident. How is it even possible.

Love or no love, that comes much later for MB. But can she start knowing her enemy with her whys and wherefores antennae and not just reacting in TIT for TAT manner at RK's teasings.

Until that happens, me as a viewer wil also lose charm in their love story. So far I am watching the show because RK keeps me hooked with his intriguing personality and which is being explored so much by the creatives.

Hope you agree with me 😊

A well thought out query. And a key one. What is RK? In some of my earlier posts I have tried to explore the fact that he is a highly unresolved character. A child. Not necesarrily a sorry twelve year old trapped in a man's body because that is a naive and superficial reading, but perhaps a commentary on the infantalising of our entire society. As technology takes our world pudding and rakes it up like an enthusiastic fork, we find that very few of our social and moral certainties stand the test of this change. Many have changed or have been discarded as irrelevant. One of these conventions is, of course, marriage, which is a focus of the show. But the most obvious is what are we to be as humans? What is the role of a man or woman in a world where you have an existance beyond eating and procreating?

RK is confused. He acts out. Just as we all act out. But his tantrums are bigger, his treats are bigger, and because of his material wealth and influence his episodes of rage and acting out have an impact bigger than most people's. He is a big boulder dropped in a small pond. But despite the difference in scale, he is EXACTLY like most of us. Just seen through a magnifying lens.

I know this seems weird. Most people would see Madhu as the normal girl. But Madhu is the insaan, here. The extraordinary one who is perfectly resolved and has a purpose in life. She has extrordinary convictions, for which she fights the most dramatic odds. It is she who is the unreal being!

So i would say RK is us. We are all children or jaanwars or children of jaanwars. take your pick!

shri,

I agree with you,😊. Madhu still remains in the box of mom paddy, malik and her didi😆 she doesn't want to think beyond that and yes the regular tit for tat😆. Her character needs to be developed.
Let us see how they are going to mould her character. Hope it is delighting. other wise it is a heart break for me if they spoil the story and the character.
RK makes it more interesting. Too good😉

i am sorry he is distasteful btu he is defo not a shaitaan.
im sure u cannto overlook this fact.
regards.

Part II - Episode - 14th Sep 2012

OMG!!! What a vindictive man !!!!!

The guy (RK) must be a super chess player. Chitt bhi meri, patt bhi meri. Either/Or consequences in his favour as far as his game with MB was concerned.

MB challenged that she will fulfil wife's duties.
RK needed to break this. 3 attacks on his wife and he succeeds in making the whole subject of conjugal duties as something obscene and unthinkable. He basically stabbed MB's heart by ripping apart her belief that she can hope something in the role of the wife.
His win is not in the fact that he made MB lose her dignity. No Madhu never lost her dignity, she infact won her case. What was RK's win, he made the fight worthless for MB. He made her feel that she should not have thought of becoming the dutiful wife.

The attacks.

Attack 1
So RK openly accused her in front of everyone and made it look like he was the suffering husband and MB not obliging with his conjugal rights. "jaanta hoon Nazdikiyaan kamzor kar gayi. Abhi chhoote hi bhagogi" Which honest women would accept that accusation baseless fact as it was ! So she had to keep her ground before all the people as it was her fight to get the wife's rights.

Attack 2
And RK doesn't like this response, for he has to make yet another attack to win the game. His opponent was giving a fair fight. And this time what is his attack ? Hit under the felt. Go for the same conjugal rights but more towards the sexual relationship. He does a close dance and his wife defends herself before everyone that she is not the one who is not honoring it.

Attack 3
So how does RK cheat now ? Say aloud, another accusation. You can publically be close to me, but in private, you won't do that ! Making her some kind of liar or opportunist. And since her face was telling it all how unfair he is, how no one would believe it, he defies the world she is part of and strikes her where it hurts, the situation of kiss - miss. What would have been more hurtful, to be kissed by a scorned man or to be spared in scorn ?

Who wins ?
The lone tear swelled in Madhubala's eye because she was consternated at RK's stooping to such low levels to conquer her, to break her. And as the seconds reduced to 1, she had attained the resigned and the moral-call look of "how low you can stoop now?". And that's where RK decides to not kiss, because somewhere MB's gaze ready to be ravaged was not yet vanquished and was still thinking about him and not worrying about her. The eyes had already called RK as some low level scum. That's when RK decides to not kiss as he gets scared of the meaning present in the eyes, RK cannot be scum. But the venom of defeat has to be spit out, so he says "you do not MERIT my kiss". That causes MB to shed the tear as the waiting to be ravaged ended.

The lady collects what is left of her and conducts herself away from the spot in all dignity.

But RK would not want her to get any respite, so he presents a satanic level tormenting thought. Think MB "What would have been more hurtful, to be kissed by a scorned man or to be spared in scorn ? " A gift of personal hell.

One hell of a scene. 👏

RK is twisted . no doubt and i detested the way he insulted his wife.
he is also an idot of highest order to nto realise he is actually making a fool out of oneself in front of everyone. any man who had respected himself would not have done this.

Nice post. When a man thinks he is above all, will he even care about another's feelings? Its only he who matters! And only his opinions that matter! A typical egoist and egotist!

Just a point.. Many think that RK humiliated her by the kiss issue.. I wonder how Madhu would have felt if he had actually kissed her! In fact he spared her that torment at least.

In my personal opinion, his behaviour at the party was despicable.
