'We love to hate villains'
After acting in 12 shows, actor Indresh Malik feels that playing the manipulative Bollywood secretary has got him most fame
He has a diary in his hand, wears multiple rings, body-hugging shirts and juggles two phones — he is Bittuji, the manipulative secretary in Colors's show, Madhubala. And the actor who essays this role is Indresh Malik. Indresh says that his character is based on various Bollywood stars' secretaries, "But I won't name anyone. We've taken inspiration from many people who are as manipulative as Bittu," he laughs.
"Most secretaries have to be business-minded and manipulative, so that they can arrange things according to the wishes of their star bosses. Bittu is all that and more. He is so loyal towards his boss, the superstar RK, that he can even murder anyone if RK tells him to. Working with RK for years, he knows all about the man, from his secrets to his fears."
