help! what is chaar pheras?

hey i read an article where it said madhu-rk wedding will be a chaar pheras wedding..i dont speak hindi.,.can someone explain it to me plz? thanks

During an Indian wedding, you take seven rounds around a holy fire so that the couple can be together for the next 7 lives but in MB they are going to take chaar (four) rounds only.

Chaar phera = four rounds/circles around fire.
When we get married, we usually take seven pheras/round (hindu tradition), but here Madhu only taking four pheras for 4 lakh or something like that.

It's not really a complete marriage bcz indian weddings are not only about taking seven rounds around a fire...there's a lot more ceremonies involved in a wedding...but since this is a daily soap, it will be counted as a real marriage...i think.
