Muku choosing his family over MB is his choice. I am not comparing the two but if MB had to choose b/w family and love, I think she'd choose family too. And hence why MB and Muku are so alike.

They were friends, respected each other, cared for each other and most of all, they were so alike that they decided that it was love. It wasn't.

I loved your post. I really did like Mukund today. I thought he behaved suitably. He has a responsibility to Madhu, yes. But he has a long-standing (and maybe overarching) obligation to his sister. As long as it was just his mother muttering nonsense into his ear he ignored her. But he couldn't ignore what he saw.
I feel bad for him. Feel bad for Madhu too. And its only going to get worse.

These were exactly my sentiments while watching the episode . Life is all about making choices isn't it ? Mukul made his choice ...! When we're always willing to give RK a benefit of doubt for all his misdoings blaming his upbringing and what not , why paint Mukul all black for simply doing what most 'normal' human beings would do in a situation like this ? For a lot of people doing the 'right' thing /justice is more important than even their families . Madhubala is one of them , Mukul isn't . Simple ...! He does not want to part ways with Madhu and defends her infront of his family but when it comes down to finally making a choice , he has to choose . It does not make him the ideal fiance / husband/ friend but an ideal son / brother . It was always going to be a lose-lose situation for him anyways .

Heck , Madhubala marries the man she ( supposedly ) hates for the sake of her family in future . Oh the irony ...! And we will all defend her act then ...

My heart goes out to Madhu 🤗 Right from the time when she sees Mukul and goes running towards him ... and I think ... Oh you poor thing , you have no clue what's coming .. 😭
