ppl here dont understand GREY character...they only worship heroes and those who r bad need to b BASHED, thats the rule...life is not a fairytale where a prince Charming is waiting for u 🤔According to Indian law, RK CANT B PUNISHED for this self-defence action...PERIOD 😳AND regarding ur PS - Shamsher is not a street fighter, he is only a stunt man...he does action but FAKE in movies not real one!,,,,,if ever had RK raised hand on Shamsher, ppl here wud have easily called RK a monstor who attacked on an old poor fatherly figure 🤪
Self-Defense is a defense under criminal and civil law. And sometimes, depending on the attack it only operates as a partial defense. In this situation, because Shamsher just kept on going, the first hit upside the head (when he hit the ground) would have been the absolute farthest someone could have argued self-defense. Even Indian law is lenient, as you say, then that's the farthest it would have gone.
Following that RK gave his subordinate (Bittu) the right to "keep him alive" and said that the "rest was up to him". This part would operate against any possible (full or partial) defense, because RK is an employer. Misdirection on his part is his responsibility. So even if for some insane reason he was given the defense, it would be lessened because he is liable for Bittu & Company's actions.
RK is a grey character. He may have not raised a hand, but he ordered people to raise it for him.
Life is not a fairy-tale. Yes. That is exactly what I am trying to say. Except that RK is not a prince. He is not evil either. That's just how it is. That's the reason there is this much debate. The Creative's have made his character very ambiguous. Why not enjoy discussing the differences instead of trying to stop any further discussion, simply because you don't want to think anything different? I enjoy and admire RK's attitude and style also. That doesn't mean I have to cover up or disregard any wrongdoings.
You don't have to worship a character to enjoy him. I'm not responding to anymore posts on this thread. Its one thing to engage in a debate, its an entirely different thing to argue back and forth with someone who doesn't back up their arguments with anything other than opinion (i.e.: How does this defense operate in India then?), and instead chooses to nitpick at the unrelated (i.e.: calling Shamsher a street fighter). We'll just have to agree to disagree 😊
PS: You're insulting your entire country when you say people in India don't understand anything but black and white.
