MB saying yes for the proposal is kind of very very practical. From the start it was shown that MB does not have much of big dreams except being happy with her family and making her mother happy. So I don't see how her character has been ruined. Its very much the same that they had promised. As for her saying yes because of her mother's advice...then whats wrong in that too? Her mom was right when she said marry someone who would love you more than yourself. Every mom might advice that unless ofcourse you love someone. And here atleast MB knows Mukund as a friend. So it fits in all the more. Afterall arranged marriages do happen this way only. And its we who know that RK-MB are soulmates...but in the story RK-MB are very far from realizing that. So its a very natural progression.

I have to say that I wasn't surprised at all when Madhu said yes to the proposal, she may not be in love with Mukhund but she definitely likes him. And they have a nice relationship as friends, so from the point of view of a down to earth logical girl like Madhu this is a good match. But I am sure the marriage will not happen, I guess RK has something horrid up his sleeves. If I were RK I would let Madhu go through all the wedding preparations only to have Mukhund not show up on the wedding day, or RK could assume Muhkhund identity and marries Madhu himself😳.
