Yes, we had a major fall in the trps for last week, but like the title says, I am not worried...why? coz seeing how steadily and surely the CVs are approaching the story has set my mind to rest that the show and its creatives are here for the long haul and are not going to be adversely effected by these blips viz. declining trps!
From the start, they told us its an attempt to give us a hatke show set against the unique background of the film indy, presented in a fresh new way! As per me, they are delivering what they promised...the story is true to what goes on behind the scene in the film industry! They have shown the travails, the hierarchy, the plight and status of the junior artist, how the industry is a melting pot, attracting people from all over to mumbai with dreams in their eyes who then go on to make a family with other similar dreamers cum strugglers, how only stardom and success talks, how destiny plays such an important role..
In the attempt to set a solid foundation for the story, yes, there will be blips in the form of falling trps like for last week, but it is needed to set the foundation of the average middle class life being led by MB which, will be in stark contrast , to her life as a superstar later on..the story isnt just about MB and RK and their love story unlike a star one show! its a GEC show which requires a larger canvas of characters and establishing their background is a must if we want this show to run for years. To do so, the story needs layering and the CVs are doing just that... so they first gave us paddy and the thakurs story and the resultant conflict there..then it was roma and her dreams which led to trishna setting her goal in life of being a big heroine who everyone wanted thereby giving roma the status she desires and now they are setting up the foundation for an alleged conflict b/w MB and trish. Who knows, maybe trishna will ultimately marry mukund thus the intro to his family. Or maybe MB likes him-she is a simple gal, who is most likely to fall for an average middle class mumbaiker !
RK is the superstar...now in 3 weeks they cant show, MB meeting him and becoming a superstar, can they? they need to establish a solid foundation to their story...his entry and his romance with MB will be the ultimate crescendo but that only comes at an opportune time and never at the beginning, so am happy to wait...the CVs do keep giving us these treats in the form of the dream sequence, the dance sequence ystrday. Am hopeful, they will keep giving us these snippets later on too until their romance takes off full fledgedly...
Finally, June is the holiday month-in India, and elsewhere...less TV watching!
