Loving it...thumbs up...👍🏼

the start as i was expecting was amazing...

loved the way he stood upto Chaudhary...n the way he placed the broken bottle on his neck...

then the fighting seq...with all the dishum-dishum sounds...ahhh...total filmy...n how can i forget the deeply masculine voice...😳

dialogue delivery was good from both the actors as expected...

...

Scene 2

loved how Trishna agreed not to go to her house coz her sister will not be able to go...

liked the way padmini was trying to make her understand the bond of sisterhood...that she will have to take care of her little sis always...

seems like Trishna will grow up being a protective sis...

Roma drunk...😲..unexpected but seems like she has some hidden pain inside which is yet to be revealed...

point to mention...Rakhi's acting...some dialogues were over the top...but she made it all believable...

...

Scene 3

ok..did not like shamsher's acting in this scene...especially "mujhse koi galti toh nahi hui" dialogue...(just my opinion)

liked how both Roma n Padmini were praying...

n the cutest scene...Roma holding her ears n saying sorry...😳

...

Scene 4

forgetting is never easy...she has to live her life like this...reminding her each time what she has done n what she went through...

a mother is always grateful to the one who saved her child...forever indebted...

n she realized who is her new family...that strangers r sometimes the best of people who help u not even knowing u...

...

Scene 5

loved the dialogue abt sleeping by shamsher...

i mean he was so right...only the ones who r worried abt sleep care abt where they want to sleep...

n people like him sleep wherever they get place to stretch themselves...

ah ha...so finally Padmini agreed to go to shooting...she realized that the film fraternity people r not what she thought them to be...they r the ones who helped her in time of need...

...

Scene 6

so BC has stronghold in Bombay also...hmm...

like the scene on top of the building...n also when the scenes were showed upside down...i was loving it...😆..i was moving my neck to c it in a proper way...🤣

love how Raj Z makes me hate him...😆

i will come back with more as n when i remember or c the episode again...😛

What stood out for me today is Shamsher , Roma and Paddy. Though i have not really seen much movies of the 90s or 80s but Shamsher's sudden burst of snatching that bottle , breaking it and threateningly pointing it at BJ's chin with this fierce expression within his experienced eyes blows you away. You are so right, their fight sequence takes you to those Ranjeet-Dharmendra and even Jeetendra days that gives you this elegant finesse of the Indian "belle epoch" within the pre-industrial Mumbai. Roma is such a whirpool of true humanistic emotions right from the start that she makes you embrace her like nobody else does cause she does the same without any hesitation , but does it with a veil of bitter sarcasm and sarcastic , overtly placed chides while surmounting herself with a genuine yet vivacious scarlet lipped smile stretched all over her dramamtic face that tells you everything...the crude and harsh reality , the stories of our life to be dealt with, without a spoon of warmth , sugar or chocolaty cream ...LOVE that remark about the industry..so true..these very women who feel themselves to be sold as inhuman barks of tainted property are able to run away from this torturous fate to the ever opening arms in the industry..yes it's tough..but it's all of your aura and eloquence that will make you create a mark in one way or the other...from Roma's harsh predicaments to her instinctive tears and care for Trishoo as if they are already a part of her family and her adorable apology by meekly holding her ears and her curls bouncing with anticipation makes your heart float even more when Paddy and Roma share their first hug of bond , warmth and possible ribbon wrapping around them as family ...Shamshoo and Paddy already are takkofying each other 😛 already!😡😆Loved Paddy's change of decision.and I think Paddy's advice to Trishoo concerning Maddie definitely foreshadows the oncoming consequences of Trishoo's actions , intentions and steps of her character regarding the shaping of Maddie's story accordingly..it has a very futuristic node in the way Paddie claims it to Trishoo.

Thank you 🤗 🤗🤗

Edit:

@Pippa- You seriously are my soul sister 😆 Every frickin' word, I could relate to.

@Zarin- You too dude. I too, was unsure whether I would like Roma, she's loud and entertaining but too much of anything makes me sick.

@Rahmona- How can I forget you? Saw you Samira's thread, wondered if saying hi would make me sound freaky so decided against it 😆

@Lily- (Sort of odd calling you this now because haven't addressed you on IF in ages 😆) - You are a natural born at writing, 'nuff said.

Okay the reason why I chose this name is quite silly. Well everyone knows the phrase 'food for thought' and I thought it would be apt for a discussion thread but I didn't want to use the exact phrase beause then it would be mundane- and Boogle is anything but that and what better animal than an owl? They're smart, wise, and nocturnal and from what I've observed no on in this bloody forum sleeps! Like seriously, if I'm online at eight there is someone online in Australia where it is about 5am :|

Okay haven't watched the episode yet- will post after!

Thank you so much Ladies, for keeping this thread alive because the comments have drastically dropped from thread 1.

"Iss gavn ka naam insaniath hai!"...That could easily be the tagline for today's episode...

I think Saurab Tiwari's intention was to highlight this aspect of the film industry...it obviously exists but goes unacknowledged in the midst of the more controversial side of it...I'm sure the more ignoble sides will raise their ugly heads in due course.

The completely filmy dialogues that Ballu and Shammu indulged in were so reminiscent of the earlier style...very Sholayish...Roma's entry into her house was no less filmy. The Padmani-Ballu-Shammi connection was just as predictable as a 70-80's movie is.

The way the whole chawl came together to help a stranger's child was heartwarming. padmini acknowledges as much . Roma's rant about the goodness of the industry was a tad long but the things she did say were an eye-opener.

Trishna's already learning to put her unborn sister's needs before her own...hope she doesn't grow up to resent it and madhu.

And ballu..what to say about him...except that I love him more everyday...such delicious malignity...sends such shivers down my spine...that dialogue about what his wife has done for him and that it was a private matter between him and his wife was so full of vulgarity.

I actually had a smile on my face throughout the episode and I'm still trying to figure out why!
So, tomorrow we'll be seeing that delightful little baby we've been seeing in the promos...her entry into the world is going to be as dramatic as her life is going to be after that.

Can't wait for the next episode and the next and the next and the next...!!!!!

Just short few points today, not bothered to type :p

-I didn't quite like the action due to the terrible sound effects. Though the stage fighting was awesome, the sound made it sound really strange. They use those effects in every show and it's quite annoying. But I really did enjoy the verbal spar between the two men; it was the icing on the cake for me! Whoever is writing their dialogues is very ishmart. Balraj with his wit and Shashmer with his quick retorts and answers.

-I enjoyed the little speech Roma gave, it must have been very frustrating for her to see Padmini turn down a job that she got so easily when she had to struggle and go through so much turmoil to land herself an acting career as a junior artist. Though I didn't appreciate the rough handling, and over-acting the message she was trying to bring forth succeeded.

-Trishna can't act, and it was kind of foolish of her to walk on the plank when she saw how afraid her mother was. It was her just tying to be stubborn. Yes, she's a child but she's not that young that she can't differentiate right and wrong after being told of severly.

-However, this scene brought forth the goodness of the little community. They are all a big loving family and a line that stood out to me was 'voh chaal ki beti hai' or something along those lines when the doctor asked whose daughter she is. Despite being complete strangers they cared so much for a child they don't know.

-The doctor really pissed me off when he prolonging the good news despite seeing a crying, traumatised pregnant woman!

-I like the fact Shamsher isn't some brooding enigmatic kind. He laughed, talked to Padmini properly after and seemed to be quite sociable. His character is very likable. And he has a hot voice - I'm his official voice fan girl!

-Lastly, I again repeat I love Bally's dialogues. They're smart and quick-witted, instead of being terrorised in the last scene I couldn't stop smirking at his lines. Enjoyed the black humour. Quite cynical of me to say I didn't give a damn about the hanging man because the dialogues were so awesome.

Hi!!!!!!

Okay so this is different...it's my first time giving my two cents on an episode of any show. I usually just watch shows for the entertainment component and don't really give a hoot about the rest buttt this has to do with DD and I absolutely love and respect her professionalism, so I felt like contributing.

Episode 4:

Hmm, I LOVE Shamsher and quite contrary to what I'd thought earlier, I really don't mind Roma either despite her sometimes obnoxious loudness. For some reason, I'd always predicted that her character would be such...perhaps because I still see her as Pindy Queen 😆

The whole show so far for me has had a very "Agneepath" vibe, with the Ganesh ji scene, the song, the sindoor flying around and then this community that saves Padmini and co. I can't say I haven't enjoyed that though--that might just be the reason I love it so much right now even though DD is nowhere to be seen.

This show is the stark opposite of regular dramas at so many levels and that's why I love it. First and foremost, there's no ridiculous ZOOM IN ZOOM OUT routine happening with every character, there's no overdone family drama (THANK THE LORD!!) and there isn't a ridiculous echoing for every single word that leaves an actor's mouth. And not to forget, the AMAZING SOUNDTRACK!!! I absolutely love the creaking swing kind of background music that plays whenever Balraj Chaudhry is sauntering about and the melancholy heart wrenching slow music when Padmini and co. is around.

On a side note, today's episode was a bit "let's promote how awesome the film industry is" lol and some dialogues and scenes did appear a bit staged as if trying to record a commercial within the serial.

However, I will admit that this is the first serial EVER, yes first serial that I have watched from the very first episode without skipping scenes (I loved Geet but I didn't watch it from the first episode and many times, I did skip the family drama scenes).

So that's my rant! Hope to be back again to rant some more.

Love you fellow peeps!
