Pallavi Purohit is a superb actress and she talked to me on FB!
Seems the producers did not promote much about her before the show went on-air as they wanted to keep her as the surprise factor. While we all glued to the TV to see Dhrishti Dami and Vivian Dsena on the debut but we did not feel we missed anything given the superb performances by each and everybody, including Pallavi.
In the first episode she underplayed given the presence of the likes of Raj Zutshi, Sushmita Mukherjee, Shagufta Ali and Lait Parimoo but in that Ganpati scene she gave us a hint of her upcoming power pack performance in the future episodes.
In that scene she looks in Lord Ganesh's eyes and realizes why she is afraid of these goons running after her in the presence of the Lord and this realization makes her so strong that she looks back at them and shouts to show the aggressive part in her. The performance was so powerful that it gave me goosebumps all over my body and I instantly forgot about the earlier power performances of the other senior actors.
This scene is my favourite and it seems that my view matches with that of the channel which is why we are now seeing it in the promo now.
However, this is no surprise for me as I have been watching her since the times of "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki" where in the role of Gunn she gave an amazing performance during the Aarushi murder case plot in front of Aarushi's dead body and even today that scene gives me goosebumps as its so natural and really makes me feel as if I am at a real funeral!
Also, in her earlier show "Sapnon Se Bharey Naina", she was outstanding with her performance as the negative lead. I was there to take bytes of the two lead actors but got completely bowled over by this beauty owing to her extremely humble behaviour. She asked me if I had something to eat and drink or not as I had been waiting for 4 hours for those actors even though she had no business to be concerned about me. And during my wait, I talked to some production guys there and they were raving about her professional attitude and how she would be on time everyday for every shot when coming late is a normal tradition in this industry.
Beyond acting and her professional side, I have now become her fan for her real life amiable nature and she is truly like Padmini in her present show. I just joined her fanpage on Facebook and posted a comment and she replied to me! To my surprise I found that I was not the only lucky guy but she responds to everybody so promptly!
Kudos to this girl and oh my God she's so so beautiful (saw her real pictures there).
Obviously this powerful actor is not in the show for a small role and I hope that she's here to play a parallel lead with another interesting story kept under wraps by the producers.
Also, want to mention about my likeness for the starting part of the show when it shows the names of the entire team of Madhubala everyday. It sets the pulse racing with the awesome Sholay music in the background and reminds me of the epic Mahabharat serial where the starting music used to make us feel that we are about to watch an epic serial.
I wish her all the best and, also, to the show Madhubala - my standing ovation for this class quality!
