Hi Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon members,

This is a new forum - curosity to the new show so t
here are lot of questions and queries coming my way and many random posts made in the forum, so I thought to make a proper post which can help all someway or other especially to newbies and others.

This thread will give you a basic idea about Chaskameter, adding My Forums, making VMs, making siggies, using avtars and siggies, making a secure post which are gonna help this forum and the forum members.

Lets start with the Chaskameter rankings and actors rankings

My Forums

Add MEIEJ Forum to 'My Forums' list by clicking on the star at the top of the page.

Chaskameter

Press like button to the posts you like and leave comments.

Rate and comment on the Telly Buzz articles as it helps in increasing the forum ranks as well as the celebrity ranks.

Rate and comment on the IF videos.

Rate the chaskameter everyday or every time you log in to IF. (hitting chaskameter more than once is of no use)

Celebrity Rankings

Join the Fanclubs of Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena, and other star casts you like, you can go there from main page or MEIEJ forum too.

Comment on the celebrity Fanclubs at least twice a day.

Rate and comment on the celebrity pictures - you will find them on their profile.

ADDING SIGNATURES AND AVATARS

For those who don't know how to add signatures & avatars, here is the detailed procedure for you

Signatures:

The pictures and the text you can add under all your posts.

Avtars:

Display picture you find your your username

1. Save the picture or siggy, you want in your signature, to your system (make sure of the location where you save so you can easily get it when browing from the website to upload).

2. Now go to any imaging sharing website - I generally use

There are many others like - www.Imageshack.com, www.flickr.com,

3. Upload your picture/siggy by browing it from your system.

4. Copy the BB forum codes.

5. For signature, go to My Dashboard

Update Profile

6. Paste your forum code, make sure your codes should have [ IMG ]use codes[/IMG] - no space

7. For avtars, go to My Dashboard

Update profile

8. Paste the codes in Avtar link - the codes generally end with .gif or .jpg

9. You can use text in ur signature box, you need to just type it down and submit.

Making siggies, Banners, Glitter writing

Many of us get interested in siggy making and glitter writings which we see as around in the forum.

If you are beginner, its good to try user hand on online photo editing initially, which will help you know more about it.

Whichever the software or online site you use, do go through the tutorials, which will help you get started and you can play around with them.

Free softwares for you to make siggies, banners, etc

Microsoft Paint - You can get tutorials easily for this and is offered by Microsoft - its good for beginners

GIMP - This is one of best freeware softwares for photo effects

Photoscapre - Its a freeware and works well for beginners and has many features.

Few online tools for siggies, banners, etc.

For siggies:

I used this when I started, simple to use and easy to grasp

There are many online sites providing all these - google them like online photo editor or glitter text generator - you will easily get them..

Making VMs

VM making is pretty simple, you just need some time and lots of imagination.

Things you will need,

1. Online download manager - I use latest version of realplayer - but you can use any or even go for sites which help you download these videos

2. Converter program - as we get videos of many formats which are hard to use for merging.

3. Main thing - open a youtube account.

All systems with windows have WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER (go to start --> all programs) or anyone freeware of video editing.

Download video file from youtube or any other website through realplayer or download manager.

These downloaded files are generally in FLV format or mp4, you need to convert them to WMA as WMM accepts only WMA video files.

Go to import files - browse your downloaded video - drag to timeline.

You can trim or remove audio or add effects and transitions to it. Basically play around with all the available effects to understand them n get used to them.

Save your final product to ur system - hitting on - save to my system.

All video editors give a large size files - if your internet speed is slow - you can convert them to other formats to decrease the size like FLV.

Upload the video to your youtube account, wait until the process is complete and you get the youtube link, make your video private or public depending with whom you want to share. Name it properly so everyone can search easily,

There is misconception that adding disclaimer that the files does not belong to you will avoid problems from third party issues - it does not help you anyway.

Embedding Youtube videos

Copy the youtube link and paste in your post along with

[YOUTUBE]YOURLINK[/YOUTUBE] no space

Hi naz didi.thnx for taking time to xplain about these things.any idea of hw to create vm's?maybe not nw but will try to create a vm on madhu and rk.oops read about the vm's just nw.tfs.
