Episode 10-20

Avani and Bhaskar meet and Bhaskar shares his financial problems with him. Avani assures him that once they are married they will sort all the problems together. Bhaskar is happy to hear this. After Avani leaves, Bhaskar gets a call from Maskeran claiming he is a well-wisher of Bhaskar and has important information that has to do with Bhaskar's marriage with Avani. Bhaskar meets Maskeran at the park and the latter shows Bhaskar a few pictures of Avani and her boss that seems to look like the two have something going on. Initially, Bhaskar believes him and decides to call Avani. But Maskeran stops him from calling Avani and Bhaskar gets suspicious. He realizes Maskeran is lying and warns him to not interfere between Avani and him. Asha Kaaki visits Avani's in-laws to give them the engagement invitation. Bhaskar meets Asha Kaaki who had come to invite his family for the engagement. Lata and Bhaskar are impressed that Avani has such a rich Kaaki. Asha kaaki meets Bhaskar's father and praises him for having raised such an honorary son. Bhaskar asks Asha Kaaki if he could take Avani for shopping. Asha Kaaki agrees and leaves. Bhaskar takes Avani for saree shopping. While drinking tea at the showroom, she accidently pours hot tea on herself. Bhaskar gets very worried and Avani sees how much he likes her. After spending a romantic day together, Bhaskar drops Avani home. Kaaka yells at Asha Kaaki for being too close with Avani's family. On returning home, Lata yells at Bhaskar for spending so much on Avani. But he explains to her that this is just an investment and once Asha Kaaki sees how much he spent on Avani, she will shower them with more expensive gifts.
On the day of Avani's engagement, Kaveri gets upset that Avani has to do all the work as her father is not there. Asha Kaaki gets jewelry for Avani. But Avani refuses to wear anything as she doesn't want to give her the impression that they are all her jewelry. When Kaveri asks if she could start the ceremonies, Lata gets angry and says that unless her son-in-law Prabhu comes, they can't start any function as son-in-laws are very important. Asha kaaki takes the envelope from Kaveri and puts money in it so that no one from the Bhaskar's family complains. Bhaskar's sister raises the question of Avani's father and asks why Kaveri wears mangalsutra, green bangles and sindoor. Kaveri is distressed at the questions about her husband. She goes inside and takes off her mangalsutra, green bangles and wipes off her sindoor. Asha Kaaki calls up Kaakaji and asks him to come for the engagement. But he lies saying that he is in a meeting and that he doesn't want to come. Asha Kaaki threatens Kaakaji saying if he doesn't come for the engagement she will complete the ceremony and also give the dowry amount. Avani's boss comes for the engagement with a lot of gifts. Lata mistakes him to be Avani's Kaaka but when she finds out that it is Avani's boss she gets even happier. Kaveri doesn't bless Avani as she is now a widow. Kaveri breaks down as she can't give Avani her blessings. But Avani says that she doesn't care about any societal rules and she wants hers mother's blessings. Eventually, Kaveri blesses Avani. Bhaskar's father suggests that the wedding costs must be shared equally between the groom and the bride's family. Lata retorts that as per tradition, wedding costs are always borne by the bride's family. Avani's boss comes to the rescue and says he will bear the costs on behalf of Avani. He gifts Avani expensive jewelry. Anju asks why kaakaji is not there for his own niece's engagement and says that they should leave as they have been made to wait for too long. But kaaji arrives and the ceremonies start. Asha kaaki gifts Avani a huge gold bangle. Avani and Bhaskar exchange rings and kaakaji leaves. Lata notices that kaakaji is not very happy with Avani's family. Everyone dances and celebrates Avani's engagement. Post engagement both the families are excited. Lata is excited to think of number of gifts they will receive on the marriage ceremony. Kaakaji is infuriated on Asha kaaki for gifting Avni gold bangles. Abha is apprehensive of Avni's relationship with Bhaskar as she finds Bhaskar family quite indecent. Kaveri convinces Abha saying, it is more important to have an understanding husband than having an understanding family. Marriage festivities begin in both houses. Bhaskar, Lata, Anju and Prabhu sit down to prepare a list of gifts to be asked on marriage from Avni's family. Avni is tight on the budget and is worried about her family's future. She decides to talk to Bhaskar to have a simple marriage. Bhaskar decides to visit Avni's office to discuss about marriage gifts and expenditure. Usha informs Maskeran about Avni's engagement. Bhaskar deceives Avni to believe he wants a simple marriage but can't make his family understand the same. He offers financial aid to Avni to buy gifts for him and his family. Avni is apprehensive that she might miss out on her responsibilities towards her family in her quest to fulfil Bhaskar's family's demands. Avni shares her problem with Usha and she assures Avni of her support. Avni reads Maskeran's note wherein, he has confessed his love for her. Avni is shocked to see Maskeran's note. Avani leaves early to meet Maskeran and is surprised to learn that Maskeran is already married and has a wife and a daughter. Avani ridicules Maskeran for his deed. Usha tries to cheer-up Avani ansd Avani accepts of her liking for Bhaskar. Aditi meets with an accident and Rajesh takes her to the hospital. Abha, Kaveri and Avani are tensed as Aditi is late. Aditi returns and Kaveri is shocked to see her in bandages. Abha questions Aditi about Rajesh.
Abha questions Aditi about the whereabouts of Rajesh. Bhaskar and Avani go to finalize the reception menu. Avani reminds Bhaskar time-and-again that they are tight on budget and should have a simple wedding. Bhaskar and Avani share romantic moments together and Avani confesses her love for Bhaskar. Kaveri, Abha and Aditi are busy preparing for the wedding. Avani is angry when Abha tells her that she wishes to take up a part-time job. Kaveri is able to convince Avani for Abha's job. Prabhu, Lata and Anju are infuriated on learning that Bhaskar went with Avani to finalize the wedding reception menu. Prabhu comes to Avani's house and threatens to cancel the wedding if the reception menu is not improved. Avani is upset and leaves when Bhaskar doesn't support her. Bhaskar cleverly deceives Avani to believe that he is doing all this under sheer pressure. Avani's family gives-up and it is decided that wedding menu will be of their choice. Avani asks for loan from her boss. Avani's brother takes up a job to help his family. Avani calls Bhaskar to thank him for his unending support. She invites him and his family for jewellery shopping.

Episode 20-30

Both the families are excited about the jewellery shopping. Avani's boss suffers a heart attack and is taken to hospital. Avani receives money from her boss's wife, who asks her to continue with the shopping. Bhaskar's family waits for Avani. But Avani's bag is snatched on the way. Kaveri is devastated. Bhaskar scolds Avani for being careless. A boy returns Avani's bag. Anju and Lata wish to search for a new bride for Bhaskar. Maskeran gives an application for his transfer. He talks to a friend about his love for Avani. The friend tells Maskeran about Bhaskar's character, and suggests that he save Avani from Bhaskar's trap.

Abha spots Rajesh when he comes to meet Aditi, and is anxious. Avani pacifies them. Maskeran visits Avani to tell him the truth about Bhaskar, but she insults him. Maskeran then decides to talk to Usha. Prabhu convinces Bhaskar to change the reception venue. Bhaskar and Prabhu visit Avani's home in her absence and ask her family to change the wedding venue. Abha is infuriated. She talks back to Prabhu, who feels insulted and threatens to call off the wedding. Kaveri becomes unconscious.
Usha tells Avani what she has learnt about Bhaskar. Avani refuses to believe Maskeran. Lata in infuriated as Avani's family insulted Prabhu and plans to call off the wedding. Bhaskar plans to teach Avani a lesson after their marriage. Avani is worried about Prabhu's new demand. Abha feels guilty, but shares her fears about Bhaskar and his family. She suggests Avani to call off the wedding. Kaveri is furious when she overhears this, and hits Abha. Avani is restless.
Abha decides to seek an apology from Bhaskar's family. Avani intervenes in Abha and Aditi's argument. Lata has an argument with her neighbour. Aditi and Rajesh spend some quality time together. Lata insults Abha when she comes to seek an apology from Prabhu. Usha tries to convince Avani to be careful on the budget, due to her many responsibilities. Avani gives her bangles as a token to book the venue.
Avani questions Abha when she sees her tensed. Abha realizes that Avani has mortgaged her bangles to book the wedding venue. Kaveri is worried that her husband's name is missing in the invite. Kaveri visits Asha's house to invite them for the wedding, but Kaka gets restless as he doesn't wish to spend money for Avani's wedding. Avani gives out her wedding invites. Kaka sees Aditi and Rajesh together. Usha is worried and tries to convince Avani to talk to Baskar.

Avani questions Bhaskar about rumours that a girl committed suicide due to him. Bhaskar clarifies her doubts, and Avani starts respecting him more. Aditi is relieved when her family does not know of her meeting a guy. Abha meets her new boss, Karthik. Karthik taunts Abha for demanding leave for Avani's marriage. Her leave is granted. Karthik invites himself for Avani's wedding. Avani promises to attend to a job on behalf of Maskeran, as there is a family emergency at his place. Madhvi is thankful to Maskeran for taking good care of her and her child. She is upset that Avani does not understand him. Madhavi suggests that Maskeran clarify to her that he is unmarried. Maskeran and Madhavi suspect that Avani and Usha have overheard their conversation.

Maskeran stops Madhavi from telling Avani the truth about them. Avani reassures Usha about Bhaskar's intentions. Kaka tells his wife about spotting Aditi with a guy outside home. Kaki is disgusted when Kaka sees his own benefit in not telling Kaveri about Aditi. Rajesh makes an excuse for not attending college in India. Avani and Usha catch Bhaskar's brother coming out a third-rate movie. Avani is worried when the caterer asks for money, but hides it from Kaveri. Bhaskar reassures Avani and promises to help her with the expenses. Sharad visits Kaveri, and is happy to learn about Avani's marriage. Kaveri is thankful to Sharad. Kaveri is stunned to learn about the impending court verdict about their house. Avani consoles Kaveri, who is worried about the house. Avani is stunned to learn that Bhaskar's loan has been cancelled as he refused to do some illegal work for his boss. Avani stops Bhaskar from doing any illegal work. Bhaskar promises to sort things out somehow. Avani hides the truth from her family. Avani's Haldi ceremony begins. Kaki forces Kaka to attend the ceremony at Bhaskar's place. Kaka is stunned when Bhaskar's brother-in-law notices his car as soon as he visits them. He lies to them that he had been to Avani's place too. The pre-wedding rituals begin at Bhaskar's place. Kaveri and Avani get emotional. Avani is worried about the expenses.

Avani and Bhaskar's Haldi ceremonies continue. Prabhu is impressed with Kaka's riches. He suggests that Bhaskar should have asked Kaka for a car for himself. Bhaskar and his mother like the idea. Kaveri notices that Avani is worried, and questions her. Kaveri is stunned to learn the truth. The choodi rasam begins at Avani's place. Avani is worried to see that Kaveri is missing at the ceremony. Kaveri goes outside, where she is stunned to notice someone. Kaveri follows him, but is unable to catch up. Avani breaks down on learning that Kaveri has discharged the fixed deposit that she had made. Bhaskar is surprised to see that Prabhu has arranged for drinks and dancers at a party for him. Bhaskar and Prabhu enjoy the dance at the party. Bhaskar's father stops him when he returns home late in the night, drunk. Bhaskar's father tells him to appreciate Avani and requests him to take care of her. He requests Bhaskar to start life afresh with Avani. He is hurt when Bhaskar ignores his words. There is a tiff between Usha and Nita over Avani's mehendi design. Maskeran buys a Ganesha idol as a wedding gift for Avani. The shopkeeper is shocked when he asks him to inscibe his and Bhaskar's names on the bottom of the idol. At Maskeran's insistence, the shopkeeper confesses that his sister Neelima was engaged to Bhaskar, but Bhaskar broke off the engagement. Neelima committed suicide. Maskeran is shocked. The shopkeeper insists that Maskeran save Avani from Bhaskar's trap.

Episode 30-40

Avani's family dances and sings at her mehendi ceremony. Avani dreams of a beautiful future with Bhaskar. Bhaskar's mother wishes to keep Avani's jewellery in her cupboard. Bhaskar's father is sad to see this. Avani is unable to sleep, thinking of her childhood days. She is touched to see that Kaveri is also sleepless. Kaveri presents Avani with an anklet that she used to wear in childhood. Maskeran tells Madhavi about the rumours about Bhaskar. Madhavi urges Maskeran to present the shopkeeper before Avani. Avani performs a Ganesh pooja at her house on the day of her wedding. Bhaskar's father performs the pooja at his place. Avani gets emotional as she leaves with her family for the wedding venue. Usha refuses to let Maskeran talk to Avani. Maskeran reaches the gift shop and learns that the man who sold him the idol is a salesman, Nilesh. Bhaskar's baraat arrives. Prabhu irritates Abha. Kaveri is stunned when Prabhu and Bhaskar's mother insist on more shagun for their family. At his father's suggestion, Bhaskar handles the situation. Nita notices Aditi asking her friend to escape Kaka's eye. Abha is stunned when Prabhu overhears her badmouthing his wife. Abha is stunned when Prabhu demands for more household items. Prabhu is angry and has a tiff with her. One of Bhaskar's friends misbehaves with Aditi, and she gives him a piece of her mind. Bhaskar decides to teach Aditi a lesson for ill-treating his friend. Usha and Avani are stunned to know from Abha that Prabhu and Bhaskar's mother are threatening to take the baraat back. Kaveri pleads with Bhaskar's mother to not take the baraat back. Prabhu humiliates Abha when she tries to clarify what exactly happened. Bhaskar's family is stunned when he declares that he will marry Avani at any cost. Bhaskar's father convinces his mother and Prabhu to stay for the marriage. Bhaskar and his family are stunned to see Maskeran arrive with Nilesh at the wedding venue. Nilesh tells the truth about Bhaskar to Avani and requests her not to marry him. Avani refuses to believe that Bhaskar is responsible for Nilesh's sister committing suicide. Bhaskar convinces Avani that Maskeran does not want to see her married. Avani declares that she wants to get married to Bhaskar, and requests him to leave. Avani and Bhaskar get married.
Avani's family gets emotional when her bidaai takes place. Bhaskar's mother taunts Avani for getting too emotional. Kaki and Usha go with Avani to Bhaskar's house. Bhaskar's neighbours gossip among themselves on seeing the new bride. There is a tiff between Aditi and Abha. Aditi's friend secretly enters her house. They manage to escape Abha's eyes. Aditi hides the truth from her. Bhaskar's mother taunts her husband for being anxious to perform Avani and Bhaskar's grihapravesh. Anju refuses to perform the grihapravesh customs, but later does so at her mother's insistence. Anju likes Avani's jewellery, and decides to get her hands on it somehow. Bhaskar's mother taunts him for listening to Avani's advice. Everyone is stunned when the lights start fluctuating as soon as Avani is about to set foot inside Bhaskar's house.

Bhaskar's mother is disappointed when her husband supports Avani. She refuses to join Avani and Bhaskar for the grihapravesh pooja. She advises Avani never to make her lose face in front of her neighbours. Kaveri is worried about Avani. Everyone is stunned when Prabhu compares Avani and Anju. Bhaskar asks him to keep quiet. Bhaskar's mother is angry with him. Bhaskar reassures her that he had to pretend at the wedding, to gain a good impression in Avani's eyes. Bhaskar convinces his mother that he will ensure that Avani does not hand over her salary to her family. Maskeran is upset. He tells Madhavi that he loves Avani deeply and that he is worried for her. Avani gets emotional when Usha, Kaki and Manu get ready to leave. Kaveri is worried about Avani. Bhaskar tells Avani about his huge loan from office for Anju's marriage. He confesses that he did not tell her earlier, as he did not want to lose her. Avani is stunned. Bhaskar requests Avani to help him financially for at least 2-3 months. Bhaskar is disappointed to know that Avani does not have any investments or bank balance. Avani and Bhaskar are not allowed to sleep together, as a pooja is yet to be performed. Prabhu and Anju are irritated when Prabhu's mother returns home from a pilgrimage. Avani makes tea for Bhaskar's family. Bhaskar's mother scolds her for entering the kitchen before performing the pooja. Kaki and Manu arrive at Bhaskar's house to take Avani home. Avani is stunned when Bhaskar's mother taunts them. Bhaskar's mother advises him to behave like a son-in-law at Avani's house. Avani's family is very happy to see her home. Bhaskar is irritated when Avani's family forgets all about him on seeing Avani. Bhaskar is angry when everyone in Avani's family gets busy in something or the other. He is angry with Avani for leaving him alone. Avani and Aditi take care of him. Rajesh secretly meets Aditi. Anju notices Nita eyeing their parents' neighbour, and gives him a piece of her mind. Avani's family gets busy in preparing lunch for everyone. Avani and her family are stunned to know from Anju that Bhaskar's mother has been admitted in hospital. Avani, Bhaskar and Kaveri reach the hospital. They learn that Bhaskar's mother fainted due to low BP and was forcibly admitted in the ICU by Prabhu. Bhaskar sends his father home. Avani's boss requests her to come to work for a while, to sort out a serious problem at office. Kaveri is against this. Avani goes to work at Bhaskar's insistence. Kaka is angry when Kaki insists on supporting Kaveri. Bhaskar is asked to deposit Rs. 20000 at the hospital. Kaka insists that everyone is after his money. Anju and Bhaskar are worried about how to arrange for the money. Kaveri assures Kaki that Bhaskar's mother is out of danger. Kaveri overhears Anju insisting that Bhaskar ask Avani's family for money. She removes her gold chain and gives it to Bhaskar, promising not to let Avani know. The hospital trustee happens to be a friend of Prabhu's. He arranges for Bhaskar's mother to be treated free of cost. Bhaskar hides the fact of Prabhu's arrangement from Kaveri. He advises Kaveri to keep the same a secret. Kaveri visits Bhaskar's mother. She invites Kaveri for the Gudi Padwa pooja at her place. Bhaskar promises Kaveri to return her money soon. Avani is stunned when Bhaskar advises her to stay back in office after work hours, so that she can get more overtime. Kaveri hides the gold chain incident from her family. Masi is angry when Kaveri tells her about her gold chain. Bhaskar's mother taunts Avani when she returns from work. Avani ponders over Bhaskar's words. Bhaskar convinces the worried Avani. Kaveri and her family perform the Gudi Padwa pooja. Bhaskar's mother taunts Kaveri for arriving late at the pooja at their place. At Bhaskar's mother's instigation, the priest insists that Kaveri give some gold ornament for the pooja. Kaveri is stunned, as she did not know of such a custom. Bhaskar's mother does not let Avani give Kaveri her finger ring to use for the pooja. She refuses to continue the pooja till Kaveri brings a gold ornament. Kaveri sends Abha to the nearby jewellery shop. Abha is able to afford only a silver coin. Karthik meets Abha at the jewellery shop and learns that she was unable to afford what she wanted to buy. Bhaskar's mother is upset to see that Abha has bought only a silver coin. Kaveri is puzzled when the priest asks her to use one of her own gold ornaments for the pooja. Masi and Kaveri are speechless when Aditi asks about the gold chain. Everyone is stunned when the jeweler hands over a gold Ganesha idol to Aditi. He tells everyone that he packed a silver coin by mistake, at Karthik's instructions. The pooja is concluded. Abha is angry when Masi tells her about Kaveri giving her gold chain to Bhaskar. Abha insists on talking about this to Avani. Bhaskar stops Avani from talking to Kaveri about the chain. Aditi is very happy when her friend gifts her a ring. He insists that Aditi trust him. Aditi's friend works as a driver for a rich businessman. His boss is angry with him for suddenly disappearing while on duty. Aditi's friend is beaten up by some goons for taking money from them by misguiding them. His brother saves him from the goons, and promises to repay the money within a week. His brother advises him to mend his ways. Avani and Bhaskar share some intimate moments.

Episode 40-50

Abha informs Kaveri that she will repay Karthik for the gold idol. Avani's boss visits Kaveri. Bhaskar has a fight with the neighbourhood body builder, as he eyes Nita. Avani is stunned to see the big fight between Bhaskar and the body builder. Aditi calls Avani up, as her boss wants to talk to her. Avani hides the truth from Kaveri. Avani's boss learns that she is upset, and decides to visit her. Avani is shocked when the police arrives and arrests both Bhaskar and the body builder. They are set free with a warning at the instructions of Avani's boss. He advises Bhaskar to mend his ways. Bhaskar apologises to Avani and convinces her. Avani forgives Bhaskar. Avani is stunned when Bhaskar's mother is furious with her for calling her boss over. Avani denies this. Bhaskar pacifies his mother. Bhaskar pacifies the upset Avani. Prabhu is exasperated with the fight between his mother and Anju. Prabhu is flabbergasted when both Anju and his mother are angry with him. Bhaskar's mother taunts Avani when she offers to help her in the kitchen. Avani notices Nita and the neighbourhood body builder talking to each other. Bhaskar's mother is angry with Avani when she sees Bhaskar sleeping on the terrace. Bhaskar's neighbours appreciate Avani. Abha is lost in thoughts of Karthik. Kaveri, Aditi and Abha are happy to know that Manu has got a job. Abha overhears Karthik talking to his colleagues and misunderstands his good deed to be a marketing strategy. Karthik is stunned when Abha is angry with him. Karthik requests Abha for a chance to talk to her and clear her misunderstanding. Anju and Bhaskar's mother taunt Avani for sending Bhaskar out of her room. Avani is upset with their accusations. Prabhu sympathises with Avani. Bhaskar shares with his friend his plan to get his hands on Avani's salary, pretending to release Kaveri's gold chain from mortgage. Bhaskar's mother stops Avani from calling Bhaskar. Avani is happy to hear about Manu's new job. Kaveri invites Avani, Bhaskar and his family for lunch. Rajesh promises to meet Aditi outside a mall. He is worried when his boss's son asks him to drive him to the same mall. Rajesh meets Aditi and leaves immediately, making the pretext of an urgent meeting. Aditi notices Rajesh driving the car. Avani decides to make it up to Bhaskar. Bhaskar's mother and Anju taunt Usha when she visits Avani. Their mannerism changes on learning that Usha has brought Avani's salary. Avani is puzzled when Bhaskar's mother and Anju snatch away her salary, and plan a grand party at her expense. Kaveri decides to re-start her tailoring work. She decides to tell Avani to keep her salary and not hand it over to her. Bhaskar's family is angry when Bhaskar declares that Avani would hand over her salary to Kaveri. Avani is overjoyed to see Bhaskar supporting her. Avani convinces everyone to go out for some icecream to celebrate her first pay. Avani and Bhaskar share some romantic moments. Nita interrupts them to inform them that their mother is unwell. Bhaskar's mother pretends to have a severe headache. She requests Anju and Prabhu to stay over at their house. Bhaskar and Avani are stunned when she decides to sleep in their room that night. Avani and Bhaskar visit Kaveri. Avani is hurt when Kaveri and Abha refuse to accept her salary. Avani is stunned when Abha reveals that Kaveri's gold chain has been mortgaged. She is shocked when Bhaskar tells her that he had to mortgage Kaveri's chain to pay the hospital bill, due to financial constraints. He gains the sympathy of Avani and her family. At Kaveri's advice, Avani hands over her salary to Bhaskar. She urges him to get Kaveri's chain back using her salary. Bhaskar leaves Kaveri's house with Avani's salary early in the morning, when everyone is sleeping. Bhaskar's father returns home from his tour, with gifts for all his family members. Bhaskar's mother taunts him for enquiring about Avani. Anju likes the saree that her father has bought for Avani. Avani and her family are worried to see Bhaskar missing in the morning. Bhaskar touches everyone's hearts by declaring that he had gone to get Kaveri's chain. Avani forgives Bhaskar for getting everyone worried. Karthik offers Abha a lift to office in his car. Masi and Kaveri praise Bhaskar. Bhaskar's friend demands a party from him. Bhaskar makes an excuse to avoid going to the temple with Avani and her family. Bhaskar's mother finds a note that the neighbourhood body builder has written for Nita. At her instigation, Prabhu goes to teach him a lesson. Prabhu is beaten up by the body builder. Prabhu pretends to have beaten up the body builder in front of his family. Bhaskar has a drinks party with his friends while Avani and her family visits the temple. On her return home, Avani is puzzled to see Bhaskar behaving weirdly. She is stunned to learn that Bhaskar is drunk, and questions him. Bhaskar is angry when Avani expresses displeasure over his drunkenness. Avani makes excuses for Bhaskar's shouting and hides the truth from her family. She puts Bhaskar to sleep in her room, away from her family's eyes. Abha doubts that something is wrong. Avani is upset. Avani secretly takes Bhaskar to the bathroom in the night. Manu mistakes them for a thief, and his screams wake up the family. Avani makes an excuse for Bhaskar's looking tired and dehydrated. In the morning, Bhaskar makes an excuse for his getting drunk and apologises to Avani. Avani forgives him. Masi and Kaveri are happy to see Avani and Bhaskar happy together. Maskeran notices Avani and Bhaskar at a temple. Avani gives him the cold shoulder, when he approaches her. Maskeran tells Avani that he is happy to see her happy. Bhaskar notices Maskeran and Avani talking. Bhaskar doubts that Maskeran would instigate Avani against him. Avani is shocked when he starts hitting Maskeran and chases him away. He later apologises to Avani, who forgives him again. Abha and Kaveri are surprised when their relative, Rajaram, suddenly arrives home. Bhaskar is surprised to know that Rajaram has come regarding a case about some land, in which Kaveri also has a share. Bhaskar tries to elicit more information about the land from Rajaram, but is unsuccessful. Rajaram realises that Bhaskar is not the good, kind-hearted person that he outwardly seems to be. Aditi makes an excuse to leave early for college. Kaveri invites Kaki home to meet Bhaskar and Avani. Kaki persuades Kaka to accompany her to Kaveri's house. Bhaskar's mother gets ready to visit Kaveri's place. Prabhu helps Anju wear one of her mother's sarees, and tears it in the process. Prabhu learns that the saree was given to Anju's mother by Kaveri, and makes a plan to avoid the blame of tearing it. Bhaskar's mother plans to wear the same saree, and finds that it is torn. Prabhu instigates Bhaskar's mother, stating that Kaveri gave her a second-hand saree to insult her.
Abha is stunned when Bhaskar talks to her rudely. Rajesh keeps Aditi waiting as he has to drive his boss to work. Angry, Aditi calls him, but his boss receives the call. Rajesh's boss learns that he is playing with Aditi's emotions. He admires Aditi and has an evil plan in mind. Bhaskar is in an angry mood and complains to Rajaram about the bad upbringing that Kaveri has given her children. Rajaram is upset. Bhaskar learns that Kaveri's husband deserted her when the kids were very young. Rajaram grows suspicious when Bhaskar questions him again about the disputed property. Avani reassures Rajaram about being happy with Bhaskar. Avani overhears Bhaskar shouting at someone on the phone, and questions him. Bhaskar is angry and refuses to tell her anything. Some goons follow Maskeran in the market place and try to beat him up. Maskeran manages to escape. Madhavi is stunned to see him hurt. She requests him not to put his life at stake for her sake. Kaka and Kaki visit Kaveri. Bhaskar is not pleased to see thim, but talks to them, at Avani's request. Everyone is stunned when Bhaskar's mother accuses Kaveri of insulting her. Kaveri and her family is stunned with Anju and Bhaskar's mother's accusations. Kaveri apologises to Bhaskar's mother. Kaka is displeased when Kaki asks him to pay the auto fare for Bhaskar's family. Bhaskar's mother insists on leaving immediately with Avani. Kaka is very angry when Prabhu forcibly takes away his car. Anju insists on Kaveri giving her mother a new saree. Kaka is angry and leaves for Mumbai immediately, without eating lunch at Kaveri's place. Rajaram is worried about Avani. Kaveri blames herself for her husband leaving her and for Avani's suffering. Kaveri hopes that Bhaskar and his father will take care of Avani. Rajaram decides to shoulder the responsibility of Kaveri's family. Bhaskar's father is angry with his wife for creating a scene at Kaveri's place. He is stunned when Bhaskar refuses to take care of Avani too. Bhaskar's father apologises to Avani on his wife's behalf. Bhaskar's mother is angry to see her husband urging Avani to change the situation in his house.

Episode 50-60

Bhaskar's friend advises him to get intimate with Avani soon. Bhaskar cheers up the upset Avani. Avani rejects Bhaskar's suggestion that they take a separate house on rent. Bhaskar and Avani get close. Anju and Prabhu's mother have a fight over a box of sweets. Prabhu suggests that Anju steal the silver bowl that Kaveri had gifted Avani. Avani needs to go to office for some important work. Bhaskar's mother stops her. Avani is shocked when she accuses her of having illicit relations with her boss. Avani is stunned when she instigates Bhaskar against her. Bhaskar takes his mother's side. Bhaskar's mother does not put Usha through to Avani when she calls up. She keeps Avani busy in household work. Avani's boss is very angry when Avani does not report to office. Maskeran suggests that he help Usha with the work, to save Avani's job. Avani requests Bhaskar's father to inform Usha about the location of an important file. He is unable to call her, as Prabhu is using the landline. Avani's boss accepts the tender file that Maskeran has prepared on Avani's behalf. Avani is hurt when her boss accuses her of taking undue advantage of his trust. Maskeran stands up for Avani when his colleagues badmouth her. Avani thanks Maskeran for helping her. Kaka's driver delivers a new saree for Bhaskar's mother. Bhaskar's parents are stunned to know that it was Anju and Prabhu who tore the saree. Avani gets late at office, as her boss has not yet returned. She leaves for home, at Maskeran and Usha's advice. Bhaskar's father tells him about Anju's confession. Bhaskar's mother refuses to go to Kaveri's place and apologise. Avani is stunned to overhear this conversation. She is shocked when even Bhaskar does not stand up for her. Bhaskar's father is angry with his wife for badmouthing Avani. There is a big fight between his Bhaskar's parents. Avani is upset when Bhaskar is angry with her. Bhaskar tells his mother that he does not love Avani, but her salary. Bhaskar's mother advises him to keep Avani under control. Bhaskar's father advises Avani not to tell Kaveri the truth. Kaveri tells Masi that she would have to cut down heavily on her household expenses. Bhaskar leaves early for office at his mother's instigation. Avani is stunned when Bhaskar's mother taunts her for not taking care of Bhaskar's needs. Avani's office wins the contract, thanks to Maskeran. Avani's boss apologises to her and invites her and Bhaskar home for lunch. Maskeran and Avani become friends again. Avani calls Bhaskar from office. Bhaskar overhears Avani laughing and enjoying with her colleagues.

Bhaskar pretends to care a lot for Avani and reminds her to file her overtime papers. Some goons enter Avani's office and question her about Maskeran. Avani saves Maskeran from them. Maskeran refuses to answer her questions clearly. Avani waits up for Bhaskar for dinner. She is hurt when he arrives home late in the night, and refuses to have dinner. Avani is upset at having to eat alone. Bhaskar makes excuses for his behaviour. He tells Avani that he is trying to balance the monthly budget. Bhaskar is angry to know that there is no overtime pay at Avani's workplace. He urges Avani to talk to her boss. Aditi is shocked when Rajesh comes home to visit her. Rajaram notices him, and turns him away with a warning. Aditi requests him not to tell Kaveri about this. Avani's boss overhears her talking to Usha about overtime. Avani and Usha are happy when their boss approves overtime pay for all employees. Bhaskar is happy to know of this. He decides to snatch Avani's overtime pay somehow, while Avani plans to give it to Kaveri. Bhaskar's father meets Abha near their house and invites her home. Bhaskar's father defends Avani and Abha when his wife badmouths them. Anju retorts at Abha's working as a salesgirl. Abha defends herself. Abha is furious when Anju and Bhaskar's mother speak ill of Avani and Kaveri. Bhaskar's father is stunned at his family's behaviour. Abha walks away angrily. Anju, Nita and Bhaskar's mother call Bhaskar in office and inform him of the happenings at home. Kaveri requests Kaki to talk to Kaka about a suitable job for her. Kaveri is stunned when Bhaskar angrily arrives at her place and accuses Abha of insulting his family. Abha and Aditi are shocked. Abha defends herself when Bhaskar confronts her. She refuses to follow Bhaskar's orders to give up her job or apologise to his family. Kaveri is worried when Bhaskar walks away angrily. Avani is stunned when Bhaskar tells her about the incident with Abha. Abha is angry when Avani questions her. Avani stops Abha from apologising to Bhaskar's family. Bhaskar is happy to learn that Avani would be getting 6 months' overtime pay. Rajaram tries to cheer everyone up. Kaveri's family is stunned to see Bhaskar visiting them again. Bhaskar joins in their jokes and singing and dancing. Bhaskar apologises to Abha and the rest of the family. Avani is happy. Abha is stunned when Kaveri urges her to apologise to Bhaskar. Abha apologises to Bhaskar. Bhaskar takes Avani for dinner at an expensive restaurant. He tells Avani that the treat is on her, in celebration of her overtime pay. Avani tells him of her intention to hand over the overtime pay to Kaveri. Bhaskar tells Kaveri that his family would make Avani's life hell if she continues to give her salary to her mother. Kaveri is touched when he pretends to care for her family as well as Avani's feelings. She declares that she would no longer accept Avani's salary. Bhaskar swears her to secrecy. Avani receives her overtime arrears. Bhaskar encourages Avani to hand it over to Kaveri. He is confident that Kaveri will return the overtime pay to Avani. Kaki asks Kaveri to visit a certain place for a job, as suggested by Kaka. Kaveri decides to take up the job that Kaka has suggested, and not to accept any more money from Avani. Rajesh is stunned when Aditi suggests that they get married, to resolve the problems in their household. He reassures her. Kaveri reaches the garments factory suggested by Kaka, for a job. She appears for a sewing test, but is unable to clear it. She is refused a job due to her advanced age. Some goons follow Maskeran in the market place. He manages to escape from them. Worried about Avani's married life, Kaveri meets with an accident on the way back home. Maskeran finds Kaveri lying on the road, unconscious. He takes her to a hospital. Kaveri's condition is critical. Avani and her family reach the hospital. Avani thanks Maskeran. Rajaram gives Avani some money for the hospital fees.
Kaveri's condition gets serious. Bhaskar is in a fix as he urgently needs to pay money to his creditor. He learns of Kaveri's accident and is worried that Avani might spend all her overtime money on the hospital bills. Bhaskar's mother stops him from visiting the hospital. Maskeran and Karthik take care of Avani and her worried family. Usha is stunned to know that her colleague has already informed Bhaskar about Kaveri's accident. Avani is worried when she has to deposit a huge amount at the hospital. Avani awaits Bhaskar at the hospital. She calls home and requests Nita to send Bhaskar to the hospital soon. At Bhaskar's mother's suggestion, Nita disconnects the home landline. There is a tiff between Bhaskar's parents about Bhaskar going to the hospital. Avani and her family are happy when Bhaskar arrives at the hospital. Kaveri is declared out of danger. Avani and her family are stunned when Bhaskar suggests shifting Kaveri to a government hospital immediately. Bhaskar gets angry when Karthik opposes his suggestion, and Abha supports him. Avani is stunned when Bhaskar walks away. At Maskeran's initiation, Avani's colleagues, Masi and Bhaskar's father pool in money for Kaveri's hospital bill. Bhaskar needs money urgently. Bhaskar's father reassures the upset Avani and her family. Karthik decides to stay over at the hospital with Abha, while the others leave. Maskeran hands over Kaveri's jewellery to Avani. Bhaskar's father appreciates the love and support that Avani has from her family and friends.
