preethi, sorry jaan! please don't kill me!😭😭 after having such a lack of VS scenes in these 2 weeks, i've hardly had any inspiration to write this fanfic.😭😭

luckily, i revived my VS fever by watching some videos. and i could finally write the continuation to chapter 4.😃

CHAPTER 5

The ride to the airport was fraught with silence. Cherry tried her best to make conversation with jeet but was failing miserably. Jeet was too busy giving the evil eye to veer & soni who were undoubtedly making eyes at each other. There was an instance whereby soni had accidentally rested her hand on the gear shift & veer wanting to change gears had grabbed soni's hand by mistake.

"oh.. I'm so sorry soni.. I didn't know that your hand was there.. sorry.." veer smiled at soni apologetically. By the looks of it, soni didn't mind at all as she too smiled back at veer. they both had a moment of intense gazing whereby veer nearly crashed into a tree. After jeet's scolding however he tore his eyes away from soni, concentrating on the road.

The morning was still young but the airport was bustling with activity. Throngs of people rushing past one another so they could get to their respective boarding gates more quickly. "do you like it here soni?" veer questioned her when he saw soni taking in the airport's busy happenings with looks of delight & curiosity. Jeet cut in before soni could reply.

"this must be the first time in her life that soni bhabhi is coming to an airport. How can she not like it here? After all, she's never been to an airport or boarded a plane." He remarked rather meanly. Soni's face immediately fell & she looked totally embarrassed. "what? You've never traveled by plane before soni bhabhi?" cherry enquired, an incredulous look plastered on her face. Soni just shook her head numbly unable to speak.

"well soni & I will definitely take a plane when we go on our honeymoon.. right soni?" veer who had been silent till then interrupted the moment with his timely comments. Soni shot a grateful look in veer's direction, thanking him for getting her out of that sticky moment.

Veer winked back & continued walking. Cherry however still had a disdainful look on her face. She was looking at soni as if she had grown two heads. Soni noticing cherry's black face tried her best to ignore it.

Veer suggested having breakfast at one of the airport's open air restaurants where one could get a superb view of the city in all it's early morning glory. Soon the foursome was seated in cozy high seats around a spacious square table. A waiter approached them & politely enquired about their orders. "I'll have a salad & plain water. I'm on a diet, we need to take care of ourselves you know?" she battered her eyelids at jeet who looked uncomfortable. "I'll have French toast with honey & a cup of hot tea" jeet placed his order.

"what would you like to have ma'am?" the waiter asked soni. "err.. I'll have puris." She told him. Cherry burst out laughing. "soni bhabhi.. this is not some desi restaurant. This is a western restaurant, you can't get puris here & we women have to watch our weight, if we become too fat our husbands will stray." Cherry's tinkling laughter filled the atmosphere again. Jeet smirked at soni knowingly.

Soni wanted the ground to open up & swallow her whole. She had been embarrassed since the day started & it looked like she was up for more humiliation from cherry's side. "there's nothing wrong in liking Indian food & I think soni didn't notice that this was a western restaurant.. anyway I will love soni no matter how she looks like.." veer blurted out the last line before he could stop himself & immediately felt 3 pairs of eyes trained on him.

Soni seemed happy yet sorrowful, jeet looked like someone just force fed him a ton of bitter gourd & cherry just looked surprised. "oh soni.. you're so lucky to have a husband like veer!" cherry crooned as she smiled at veer who was slightly pink with embarrassment. Veer then ordered buttered toast coupled with hot milky coffee for soni & himself. They all ate & drank, chatting comfortably for about half an hour when the announcement that the new york flight had landed came through.

Squealing with excitement, cherry jumped up & led jeet away quickly to meet her friend apple while veer paid the bill. Soni didn't feel like spending more time with cherry so she stayed back with veer, watching him settle the bill.

"I hope you don't mind cherry's words. She's brought up overseas so she's very candid." Veer caught soni gazing at him & replied as if he was reading her mind. "no.. I don't mind.." soni replied sounding rather insincere. Veer noticing the dip in his wife's mood decided to cheer her up. "hey.. how about we go for a drive after we send jeet, cherry & apple home?" veer asked soni, his eyes twinkling with anticipation at soni's answer.

He didn't know why but soni had that effect on him, the feeling of flying without wings. Veer couldn't help but grin when he saw soni give a small but firm nod together with a small smile. He was going to make sure the day only got better for soni.

Again a VERY lovely update👏👏👏 Tooooooooooooooo bad it was kinda SHORT and kinda LATE😡 but it was worth it😳 Now i can't wait for their drive *ALONE*😳

CHAPTER 6

Apple arrived in style. She was an attractive young thing with the latest clothes right out of the catalogue of Vogue. Stylish sunglasses framed her pretty oval face & overall apple had the look of someone who had totally forgotten the Indian culture & completely westernized herself.

"darling cherry! How are you? God.. you look terrible! Have you been binging on oily food hun? Your complexion is worsening.. is that a pimple I see there?" apple peppered cherry with questions & comments as she hugged her best friends. India truly didn't seem like the place for cherry & it definitely wasn't THE place for apple.

Apple almost yawned when cherry introduced her fiance jeet to her. He was boyishly cute but not her type. Apple preferred a more mature man, the one who had the aura of being the perfect husband.

jeet however was eyeing apple appreciatively & it was all apple could do to prevent herself from rolling her eyes. Typical desi men mentality.. they already have one but always want some extra entertainment.

"hey apple… I forgot to introduce you to veer jija ji & my soni bhabhi. They are coming over right now." Cherry pointed to the left of apple. "hello gorgeous!" apple thought inwardly as she spotted veer. now he was totally her type. Tall, strong, handsome, not too boyish – he was totally an ideal hubby type.

But apple groaned inwardly when she saw his wife soni, a petite woman with a soft kind face walking alongside him. Why were all the men she eyed always taken? It was totally unfair.

"apple.. this is my jija-ji veer & my sweet bhabhi soni!" cherry introduced apple to veer & soni. Veer politely shook her hand while soni greeted apple with the traditional Indian greeting namaste.

"wow veer ji… you look really handsome & modern but your wife is very traditional.. how did you two actually fall in love?" apple crooned at veer. soni highly uncomfortable seeing the attention apple was giving veer, fell back silently as apple strode in front with veer by her side.

Soni was watching apple & veer when she felt someone by her side. Jeet smirked at her as he saw her dismayed face when veer brushed off some dust off apple's sweater at her insistence. "feeling jealous bhabhi? Well you should be a bit more careful.

Apple is a modern girl who knows how to get what she wants. A bhenji like you won't be a match for her." Jeet remarked snidely as he strolled forward to chat with cherry, only looking back once to see soni's face crumble into tears.

The day was getting so bad it was almost unbearable for soni to continue without crying. She couldn't understand what her mistake was, all she tried to do was to try to make everyone happy. Soni couldn't explain it but when she saw veer with apple, she felt a surge of something that could only be labeled as jealousy.

Soni noted that even seeing jeet with cherry didn't awaken that type of emotion within her. She had felt sad seeing jeet with cherry but never jealous like how she felt when she saw veer with apple.

They had reached the car when apple suddenly expressed a desire to tour the city that day itself. "veer ji.. will you please show me around the city? I can't bother cherry & jeet as I want them to spend some time alone with each other." Apple batted her eyelashes at veer who looked like he was about to be fired upon by the firing squad. "I.. actually soni & I were planning to.." veer's mind was thinking of some excuse to refuse apple's request when soni cut in.

"it's okay veer. you can show apple around the city. I'll just go home." She said with a small smile. "what about our drive then? Do you really want me to go with apple? Don't you feel anything for me?" veer silently questioned soni.

He was feeling rather sad that soni was so nonchalant about letting him go with apple. Did his wife not even feel a thing for him? But veer had felt it. Veer had been feeling plenty of things for soni, some of the thoughts had made him blush uncontrollably whenever they came to his mind.

"No." the answer came out aloud & veer didn't even realize it till he caught soni & apple staring at him. "I mean.. I'm sorry apple but I & soni have already made plans & I don't want to break my promise about taking her for a drive. I will be more than happy to show you around the city tomorrow. With soni." Veer added looking soni straight in the eye. She seemed slightly flushed but was smiling serenely.

Apple however had turned an ugly blotchy shade of purple. She wasn't used to being refused. Apple singh never took no for an answer. "there's always tomorrow apple honey. Don't worry.." she consoled herself. "who knows what might happen tomorrow?" apple smiled as she took one last look at veer & soni and slid into the front passenger seat without another word.

haahaa man you're toooooooooooooooo good leena🤣🤣🤣 Man if i were in apple's position my eyes would probably roll back in my head permanently after seeing Jeet🤣

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh i am sooooo loving this apple😳 atleast she's making our idiotic couple see how much they love each other😳 and i totally adore the way Veer said NO to apple on his impulse😃 LOVED IT TOTALLY🤣🤣🤣

Btw GREATTTTTTTTTTTT chapter as always👏 but also late as well[as always]😡 dude i am like addicted to ur ff so you better post more often varna mein maroongi😳 Waiting to see more romance between VS soon😃
