I've noticed that there isn't a thread for character analysis, so I thought I'd do a quick one. Hope you don't mind!

Concept
Maayka begins with Ma or Mother………..
Maayka is the serial of 3 sisters paternal home. The home that they were born into, where the spent their childhood years and where they grew up into 3 beautiful young women. It is the home that they will be bound to forever by memories, some bitter and some sweet. Maayka for a woman is an eternal source of strength, courage and wisdom, a house that will always have it's arms, heart and doors opened for a daughter. This is the story of 3 daughters and their Maayka………..
Character Analysis
Malhotra Family
Brij (The Dad) – Father of 3 girls and 1 boy. An emotional punjabi who loves is daughters very much. People told him that daughters are a burden to their father and he regards those people as enemies. I must say that the actor who plays Brij's character is fantastic. His emotional scenes are done so beautifully, you totally feel for him, he draws you right into the character, he makes you laugh with him and he makes you cry with him. Amazing!
Moni (The Mother) – A loving and caring mother and wife, she looks after the home. Has brought her children up with love and discipline.
Raaji (The Eldest Daughter) – Sweet and Simple, she "Doesn't ask anyone any questions". Loves her family, her fathers orders are like God's orders to her. Has fallen in love with the Khurana family's eldest son Veer. I believe this is her debut in acting, she is doing a convincing job and I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more of her.
Soni (The Middle Daughter) – A little dopey, close to her sisters and always seems confused. I like Soni even though she hasn't had much to do yet. Being the middle sister I hope they don't forget about her I would like to see how her character develops as the serial goes on.
Mahi (The Youngest Daughter) – Pyari or Chulbali. She is talkative and fun. Fitah Mu seems to be her reply to most things! She is in love with the Khurana family's youngest son Jeet. A good actress she is beautiful as much on the inside as she is on the outside.
Price (The Son) – Youngest in the family and hasn't had much to do at the moment. Cute.
Khurana Family
Durga (The Mother) – She is the "Vamp!" in the serial. She makes all the decisions and likes to order her family about. She definitely wears the trousers in her marriage!!!
DD Khurana (The Father) – Quite person who loves is children and encourages them to do the right think. Doesn't agree with his wife's attitude and has always been too scared to say anything to her! I quite like this guy and hopefully he will learn to stand up to his wife later in the serial!
Veer (The Oldest Son) – Is in love with Raaji, like her he seems shy and quite but not scared to follow his heart. He is a policeman.
Jeet (The Youngest Son) – He is more outgoing than his brother, never afraid to speak up against his mother, he is the cool dude!! And my "chickna". He is under the misunderstanding that Soni is in love with him and he seems to be eyeing her up, fitah mu! (When it's actually Mahi that is in love with him).
Meena (The Daughter) – She is married and pregnant and is living in her maayka at the moment because she doesn't want to trouble her inlaws in her condition. She is nice and caring and not all that happy with her mums way of life. She always sides with her dad and brothers.
Jyoti (The Daughter) – She is the little vamp! Always siding with her mum and ready to cause trouble. She is also married but living in her maayka as her husband is away and she doesn't see the point in living in her inlaws house if her husband isn't there!
