Leads who have been replaced
Vandana Shukla/ Hill Road Media Apart from entertaining us onscreen, our small screen actors' antics and tantrums off-screen also make for an interesting gossip. But as a result, bad relationships between temperamental stars and their production houses often lead to replacements of these actors. Here is a list of leads on popular television soaps who have been replaced.

Shilpa Shinde replaced by Kanchi Kaul Character: Soni Show and channel: Maayka, Zee TV Reason for replacement: Shilpa Shinde was seen as Soni for a long time in Maayka. Then, she suddenly left the show citing personal reasons as the cause. Shilpa had issues with the channel after the unexpected axing of her show Waaris and that's why she quit Maayka. Kanchi Kaul of Bhabhi fame replaced her character

Why is that?, I have not been with the show from the beginning so the only Soni I knew was Shilpa...it's hard for me to get used to this new girl. Was the actress before Shilpa much better?

yeah the actress before shilpa ie. Arti was much much better than her and kanchi is also superior than shilpa. its my views for her, no need to argue on it. I am happy zee didn't surrender against her so called demands...if u like her then its o.k but i simply not!

Oh ok, thanks! I was just curious....maybe in my spare time I'll try to find some older videos of the show to see the actress before Shilpa. Thanks again for your honest opinion.
