people within the family become soo selfish that they raise issues just for their own insecurity and entertainment... causing so much life changing events... I mean Buaji and taiji what did they gain by this at all... other than so silly sense of security for taiji and Buaji its all entertainment....

If Art imitates life, then what they show may be true in many households.
People like Bua do exist who destroy other's lives, play dirty games just for their cheap entertainment. They actually get off on other people's miseries.
Bua was widowed at an early age, has no kids or family, shes very frustrated and cannot stand other's happiness.
Tayi is a typical saas found in many Indian households who feels threatened at the arrival of bahu or sambdhis, fearing that her power in household will lessen.
In Tayi's case, shes not even the real maalkin of the house so shes doubly insecure. She found Moni a threat, she wants to be Mahi's saas, mother everything and wants to be sole grandma to Shahi's kids.
Thats why they created this terrible misunderstanding.

Psychologically speaking, Bua and Tayi's characters are quite true to life.
And Soni-Mahi's fight abt their mother can also happen. In modern day, often siblings blame each other of not looking after parents, especially married sisters who find it difficult to look after widowed mother or aged father due to Indian society structures.
Its not like in US where in most cases, wife's mom or dad stays in daughter's house in old age.
