Seems like Garima & Akangsha want Maayka fame! LOL

Finally, Shilpa Shinde is out of Maayka. After constant flip flops in the past, Shilpa has finally bid adieu to this Zee TV show. And this time, the confirmation didn't come out from her.

Creative Eye's head of operation Gyan Bhatt sighs, "Shilpa has quit the show. 28 December was the last day of her shoot. We still haven't begun the search for her replacement."

Apparently, two girls Garima Bhatnagar and Akangsha Rawat are in the fray to replace Shilpa. After speaking to both girls, it appears that Garima is the favourite to become the next Soni.

When contacted, a confident Garima said, "Yes, I have been offered the show but I haven't signed on it yet. I've worked with Creative Eye in the past (Veeranwali). It was they who approached me for this role. If it works out, then I'm keen to be part of this show"

Meanwhile, a reluctant Akangsha had this to say, "I really wouldn't like to comment on this. It's better not to jump to any conclusion. One just needs to wait and watch."

Contrary to Garima's claim producer Dheeraj Kumar rubbished all news regarding Garima being approached for Soni's role. When asked about Akangsha, a puzzled Dheeraj said, "Akangsha who?"

It's rumoured that the channel is pitching for Akangsha, while Creative Eye want Garima for the role. However, Dheeraj was quick to rubbish such tale. "These are false theories. It's still early to say whether it will be Garima, Akangsha or even Shilpa? We will speak at the appropriate time," the producer chided.

Zee TV business head Tarun Mehra claimed ignorance to this news and asked us to speak to programming team. Zee TV programming head Ajay Bhalwankar remained unavailable for comment.
