Pracheen is similar to dad: Archana

They say that girls look for a man who's like their dad. So when Archana Taide of Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah told us how Pracheen Chauhan, her boyfriend, is similar to her father, we weren't surprised.

"I guess every girl yearns for that – she loves being pampered, taken care of and given a sense of security. This is exactly what makes Pracheen special. I consider myself lucky to have someone like him to turn to for professional advice too. He watches my serial to offer an unbiased opinion of my work. His inputs have helped me grow as an actor," she says.

Do her parents know about Pracheen? "Yes. My dad's first meeting with Pracheen went on for hours. While I was busy giving a shot, they kept chatting about me. My dad is quite fond of him, but tells me to think through every major decision. My family still thinks of him as a star, they say, 'Arre, yeh toh Kasautti waale hain'."

Archana says that it is essential for young people to understand their parents' point of view, especially if it is regarding a lifetime commitment. "We should listen to our parents, and girls especially ought to listen to their fathers," she says.
