After the mind-blowing but extremely sad episode of 2day, I could write 2 more random PriDa scenes.. Hope you all like it.
I will keep on writing the scenes till the CVs give me sizzling PriDa back on screen, after which I will spend my time drooling over them...hahha 😆😆😈

Scene 5: Meeting the "Prince"
A couple of hours later saw Prithvi and Damini back in the car driving to Kapoor Uncle's farm. It was unusually quiet in the car. Damini was recounting her mini- adventure before in her mind. A slight smile still remained on her lips. What was she so happy about? She didn't know. Yet, she was happy. It had been a while since she had felt it. She stole a glance at Prithvi. Why is this man always so grim? Is he still angry at her? Usually she would have made some snide remark, but now she let it be. Instead she concentrated on more pleasant memories and of course meeting her beloved Prince.
Prithvi tried hard to concentrate on the road. His heart was still racing." Stubborn fool, Does she even have a clue what might have happened? On top of it, she didn't even care to apologize. What is she even smiling now? ". The car found its way to the farm. Kapoor Uncle was at the door waiting for Damini eagerly.
She had always been his favorite since she was young. She was like the daughter he never had. Damini jumped out of the car as soon as Prithvi had stopped. She ran to Kapoor Uncle's open arms to give him one big warm hug. Prithvi followed tentatively. He probably had met him at their wedding. He wasn't sure. "Prithvi Beta, I am so glad you came along with Damini. I didn't get a chance to meet you before. I was out of the country for all this while.,", Kapoor Uncle warmly greeted Prithvi. " Damini Beta, How is Elaji. I hope she is better now. ".. Damini nodded in agreement and both of them went into the house hand-in-hand.." When would I get to meet Prince, Uncle"..Prithvi caught Damini asking her Uncle as she went in. " Not that Prince again!!", Prithvi rolled his eyes. " Now where is my gun", Prithvi wondered.
Prithvi heaved a sigh of relief when Kapoor Uncle assured Damini that Prince would be there only in the morning. " Oh Good.. at least now I can sleep peacefully and worry about the dude tomorrow ", Prithvi muttered under his breath.
The next day, Kapoor Uncle showed Damini and Prithvi the stable grounds. Prithvi was mighty impressed. The farm was a huge one, one he had only dreamt of back in Manali. He soon became engrossed in observing the horses around him. " Ohhhhhhh, there is my darling Prince", squealed Damini excitedly. That brought Prithvi out of his happy place, and he turned out to get a good look at this "Prince" dude finally.
His frown changed to amazement when he saw Damini running across the stable and hugging a huge, fine black horse. Damini threw her hands around Prince's neck, " Oh Prince, my lovely Prince, did you miss me? " ..Prithvi suddenly laughed out loud.." This is Prince... God, Prithvi, what a dunce you have been..", he thought. Damini looked at him strangely and then turned her attention back to her horse. Prithvi was beside in her in a few long strides. He petted the magnificent animal. This was the best horse he had ever seen. " My wife certainly has excellent taste", he thought to himself chuckling. Was it purely the horse he was thinking about, he couldn't tell?.
"Do you want to ride him, Damini?".. Kapoor Uncle said as he came near them. " Of course " Damini almost yelled with happiness. "Prithvi beta, why don't you ride with Damini on Prince? He is a strong horse. ", Kapoor uncle said with this eyes twinkling.
Prithvi didn't know how to react. He touched his brow with his fingers, tilted his head and said " Uncle, ride with Damini?".. Damini couldn't believe her ears. " No Uncle,, I am not riding with him", she pouted. " No Beta, It has been a while since you rode him. I will feel safer if you both rode him together", Kapoor Uncle reasoned. Damini had give in. She so wanted to ride Prince.
Reluctantly ( or was it?) , the husband-wife duo got on the horse. Damini in front, Prithvi behind, their legs touching, their hands entwined over the reins. Then they rode away, Damini's hair blowing in the slight breeze, Prithvi lost in her presence..
They didn't hear Kapoor Uncle speak on the phone "The work is done. It went as planned. Elaji".

Scene 6: Uneasy calm
Things had been uncharacteristically calm at the Gujral Mansion. Everyone wondered if it was the calm before the storm. Damini and Prithvi had returned from the farm trip. They were unusually civil to each other. There were not lovey-dovey like Sameer/Avni. But everyone around them noticed the change. On day, Avni almost had a mini heart attack when she heard Damini agreeing with Prithvi on some office matter. " Were her ears ringing", she wondered.
The other day, Roshni caught her Damini Di actually smiling sweetly at Prithvi, when he was exercising. Is Damini Di ok? Rosh could not decide. This went on for a little while. Everyone at the Gujral Mansion was heaving a sigh of relief. No employee had been yelled at in quite a while. Some had actually started missing that.
Everyone was relaxing in the family room after a quiet dinner. Elaji was also resting with the family. She could now move around and she always felt at peace when she was around her family. Rosh and Varun were playing on the playstation. Avni and Sameer were reading a baby book together. Damini was busy typing away on her computer. Being the workoholic, she couldn't help but complete her reports. Prithvi was sitting nearby engrossed in reading the paper. Elaji was smiling contendedly taking in the scene around her.
"Damn", Damini said suddenly. Prithvi looked up from his paper and found his wife staring angrily at the computer screen. " Damini, language' what is it?", Prithvi said.Damini turned to him angrily " This damn computer crashed on me' ", she screamed." I am sure if you reset the computer, you will find the document again", Prithvi said calmly. He went to his paper. " Do you think I am an idiot?' Don't you think I already tried that??", yelled Damini. "
Now, everyone in the room was staring at them. They knew it was too good to last. "Damini Beta, It is ok..",Ela aunty tried to calm her first-born. " Mama, did you hear that.. he thinks I am a duffer'". She then again turned to Prithvi "For your information, I tried everything.. soft reset,.. hard reset.. All I get is a blue screen.. Do you have any other suggestion than the useless one that you just gave me?"..
Prithvi felt a vein in his head starting to throb violently.. He threw away the paper and said " Damini, there is no need to scream at me. What do you want me to say? Poor you.. how you lost your report? Which by the way, you could have completed tomorrow in office.. Serves you right ". Prithvi knew the moment those words came out of his mouth, no one can save him from Damini now.
Damini went all red in her face'She yelled " Serves me right? What do you mean serves me right?? ".. She was now on her feet standing right in front of Prithvi with her hands on her waist.." Mr know it all.. are you teaching me about work again?? ".. Prithvi got up and folded his hands across his chest. " Damini, what I meant was'." Damini wouldn't let him complete his sentence. She stomped her foot on his foot and walked out in a huff. Prithvi winced and then looked around in the room. Five pairs of eyes were looking at him' He rolled his eyes, shrugged his shoulders, turned away and walked out.
Only after he had reached the stables, did he sit down and nurse his poor toe'" What did I do to deserve her", he said a silent prayer..In spite of all that had happened, he smiled.
