PART 17:

Looking extremely tensed & restless Sameer repeated his ques ,this time more loudly & clearly(assuming d doc didnt hear him d last time!). The doc still had his eyes firm on Dam ( looking extremely tensed herself) who'd taken a step fwd as soon as d doc had taken her name, he gestured her to follow him , Sameer stopped him , realizing Sameer's & every1's anxiety,he added that Pri's conditions were now stable , they need not worry. Varun gave a sigh of relief, he had been sweating even in an AC chamber! Sameer asked d doc if he see his bro just once, doc shook his head to say no but seeing d pain in his eyes, he said 'you may come ,after d lady i m taking inside'. Sameer didnt protest & d doc lead her to d ICU!
As soon as she entered Damini wanted to go out again coz she was sure she'll cry,she couldnt bear d pain Pri might have been going through. The ever rock strong Pri she'd always seen & adored wasnt there in front of her, instead there was an extremely pale & weak , unconcious man surrounded by dozens of Machines, his head wrapped loads & loads of bandages, a drip attached to 1 hand & blood being transfused to other! For a moment she kept staring at him, finally turning to d doc she gave a questioning, helpless look. 'Dr. Rahul Mehra',he introduced himself,with a faint smile to her.' as if I care, whatever' she thought & nodded at d same time. ' You must b wondering how I know ur name' he was saying but was interrupted by Damini'Come to d pt will u', he raised his eyebrow' Pri keeps calling ur name when in subconcious conditions, i assume you to b his wife, though he's right now unconcious, he may come in his subconcious state anytime , which means he may sense his surroundings,i.e 'You'. I 'd b highly obliged if u stayed here by his side' he spoke non-stop ignoring her interruptions & giving d way so that she could b near Pri's bed. Taking his hand into hers, she sat next to him. Tears threatening to come out anytime soon.
