This might not be romantic at all but still i wrote it.

"Prithvi tum kabhi toh meri baat suna karo" Damini was freaking with anger at a not so listening Prithvi as he played with Sohini, their 3 year old daughter. "kya hua" Prithvi asked turning to face her for a second before turning back to Sohini who was busy shooting with the gun he had gifted her recently. Damini came forward and took the gun from her hands "beta yeh aap ke liye nahi hai, aapka teddy bear wahan hai" she pointed to a white fluffy bear on the bed. "Mamma, nahi I want the gun" Sohini whined. Damini tried consoling her but to no avail, finally she had to hand over the gun back to her.

"pata hai yeh bilkul tumhaari tarh hai, kisi ki nahi sunti" Damini sat down on the couch and laid her head on his shoulders. "tumse toh kam hi ziddi hai Damini".

Prithvi teased. "accha toh tum kehna chahte ho ki mai ziddi hun" Damini eyed and Prithvi sensed that he had touched the nerve again. Slowly he sat straight and put his arms around her "ho nahi thi" and he pulled her close. Sohini was shooting at every possible target in the room and Prithvi had his eyes fixed on her. Every time the plastic bullet would knock a target, she would turn her head towards him and he would return a smile followed by a clap. "She will become an ace shot one day" Prithvi said with a hint of pride in his voice. Damini smiled and nodded in agreement. Sohini ran out of the room to hit some other objects that were in her mind. Prithvi stood up to follow her but Damini grabbed his hand "Prithvi yahin par baitho, use thodi der akela chod do" Prithvi thought for a second and then sat down.

"waise bhi, uske paas gun hai, use bodyguard ki kya zaroorat?" he pointed out and got a slap on his arm in return. He held her hands in his "Damini I am very lucky to have you and Sohini in my life, tum dono meri zindagi ka ek aisa hissa ho jiske bina zindagi ke koi maayene nahi hain". Damini's eyes softened and she squeezed his hand. But then suddenly an idea struck her mind and she turned her face away from him. He was surprised at this and turned her to face him again. "kya hua" he asked but she shook her head "please Damini bolo na" he asked with more concern this time. Damini smiled inwardly and pretended to frown. "tumhe meri nahi sirf Sohini ki parwaah hai, tumhaare paas toh meri baat sunne ka bhi time nahi hai"

"Bolo Damini kya baat hai" Prithvi was getting more and more tensed now.

Hiding her smile with great effort Damini started that how less attention he gave her these days and kept all of his free time for Sohini. Feeling guilty after listening to her complaints Prithvi cupped her face in his hand and muttered "sorry Damini aage se main tumhaare saath bhi thoda time spend karoonga". Damini smiled at once and planted a peck on his cheek. Prithvi hugged her tightly. Damini closed her eyes and felt complete after his gesture. After a while Sohini came running inside and seeing her parents hugging each other, got into their laps and made a place for herself. Both Prithvi and Damini smiled at each other and then all three hugged each other.
