IN THE TRUCK BACK TO KMA
"Im so exited itne dino baad hum KMA wapis ja rahe hai.........",said Sameera who was going to enter KMA for the first time as a cadet.They had been alerted early in the morning by Major Sharma that they were going to go back to KMA that day.Everyone was in the truck exept for Rummy who was missing since morning.Markahnd said apparently Rummy 'bhaiya' was very thoughtful and had gone out for an early morning stroll,but hadnt returned.Purvi sat at the corner seat of the truck sadly looking outside,why Rummy always behaved so badly with her........she thought,didnt he realize even for a moment how much she cared for him......"Kya hua Purvi?bahut pareshan lag rahi ho?",Vidya asked sitting beside Purvi."Kuch nahi Vidya bas Tabyat thodi kharab hai....",said Purvi half-heartedly."Hum bataten hai kya baat hai.....",Said Markhand jumping on his feet."Woh Jin-Jinaht hamre pecha karte hue jungle se aa gaye the hume pehle se hi pata tha..............,"continued Markhand only to get annoyed looks from Peter and Akriti and giggles from Sameera and Vidya."Uss Jin-Jinhat ke vakah se hi hamare Rummy baiya bawle se ho gaye hai,Peter bhaiyake aatma par jin-jinhat ne kabza bhi kar liya tha............",remebering the time when Peter had been "possesed" by a "jin-jinhat"."Par hamne Peter ke sharir se uss jin-jinhat ko choda nahi.......bajrangbali ki kripa se hamne usse bhaga diya..........."."Bas karo tel malish.......tumhari film khatam ho gayi.......?",said Akriti getting up from her seat to look outside."hamara kma wala shot tayar ho gay hai.....hum pahuch chuke hai.....",continued Akriti suddenly sounding happier.She never had anyone or anything to ever call her own but for some reason she always felt like KMA was her own ever since she stepped into it.
All the cadets filed out of thier trucks,joyfully setting foot in the kma campus.Each running to thier favorite spot of the campus Akriti to the gym,Peter to the common room,Markhand to the garden......all the cadets were scattered in the campus.They had to meet Major Sharma in the next 45 minutes which gave them time to freshen up or go to thier favorite part of the campus.Sameera,Purvi and Vidya were walking around the campus seeing each small part of kma,the bell,the mess,the library,the class rooms."Mujhe to aapne dorm main jane hai........tum aa rahi ho purvi?",piped up Sameera who was eager to go to the dormitory which she was going to share with Purvi."Ha chalte hai...........tum aa rahi ho kya Vidya??",asked Purvi.Vidya hadnt heard what Purvi said.She was looking at the India Tree standing tall at a distance."Vidya!!!!kya hua??",asked Purvi on getting no response from Vidya."Huh??kuch nahi........",replied Vidya drowsily like she had just been disturbed from a dream."Vidya kya tum hamre saath dorm main ayi rahi ho??",asked purvi yet again."Nahi.........Vidya ko kuch kaam yaad aa gaya.........Vidya tumse bad main milegi.bye.........",replied Vidya not looking at purvi and sameera still looking at India Tree.Now slowly walking away from Purvi and Vidya towards the tree,leaving them both looking confused......wondering what had suddenly happened to Vidya.
Vidya stood below the India Tree,tears slowly flowing down her cheeks.Everyone who thought Vidya was the 'Happy-go-lucky'one didnt know her sad secret..........the one she hid with her smile,and opmtimism.She often cried alone,in the night when no one saw her.She didnt want anyone to know about it,nor did she want to make it her weakness.She put up a brave front all the time,but sometime she couldnt help it.She continued to weep remembering Vansh..............the only man she could ever love.Then suddenly she saw Captian Randhawas face swaming in front of her eyes...........his voice echoing all around her...."Main Vansh nahi hoon!!",his angry proclamation.She knew he wasnt Vansh too,but still ............for some reason she coudnt just forget him."Why????kyun ho raha yeh mere sath........... kyun??",said Vidya continueing to weep.Suddenly she heard the rustling of leaves.She wiped her tears and ran away from there hoping that no one had seen or heard her.But as she left a pair of tearful eyes continued to look at her from behind the tree................

Captian Randhawas room 2330 hrs

Captian Randhawa was sitting in his room updating his report on Shona Das and Eagle.Shona Das had returned back to KMA this time as a phscoanalyst to help the srudents with thier up comming exams.Shona Das's return to KMA had marked quite a few changes in KMA .Firstly one that Major Sharma, much to her disgust had to share her room with Shona Das as there was no other room available.Secondly both the Captians were given the sole responsiblity of handling eagles case,which also had put thier carrer into danger to a certian extent.And the most shocking change was in Captian Abimanyus and many other people including Rummy Gaurs behavior as all of them were trying to impress Shona Das.Exeption was Captian Abhimanyu who was trying to impress Shona Das for reasons best known to him and Captian Randhawa.Captian smiled......."Captian Chauhans so strange.........but his methods of spying are even stranger.......",he thought thinking of Captian Chaumans "THREE D's" method meaning-dinner,drinks and dance.......in order to prove shona das as Eagle.........But suddenly while thinking of this Captian Randhawa got thoughtful again.Captian Abhimanyu had assured Major Sharma and himself that he wasnt 'intrested' in Shona Das,but for some reason Captian Randhawa thought otherwise.......
Love........the four letter word which Captian Randhawa never gave much importance to,but always saw it only giving people sadness.He remembered the way Captian Chauhan blushed when he saw Shona Das
which was quite unlike his normal behaviour.He feared that Captian Abhimanyu would fall in the same trap that many of his conteprories and seniors had fallen into.He remembered Captian Naveen Singh Alhuwaliah,just a year senior to him and Captian Abhimanyus good friend had all the qualities to be a exelent officer.But just his one mistake of falling in love with a spy made him loose his respect,family,friends and finally his life.Captian Rajveer Singh Shikhawat who died trying to prove Naveen innocent,loved Naina dearly but due to his untimely death left Naina with the pain of a lifetime.Captian Randhawa felt his heart sink in his chest when he remembered Naina..........how could anyone love someone so much never to see another man again........A tear fell from Captian Randhawas eye.........
Captian Randhawa was in turmoil................Captian Chauhans a responsible officer he cant do something so stupid knowing everything about Shona Das......but somepart of his brain still told him........his behaviour towards shona das was too flirtasious.......Though he and Captian Chauhan werent the best of friends he and Captian Chauhan learnt to respect each other immensly.....and had also been through thier toughest case the year before.Captian Randhawa began to debate........should he tell Captian Chauhan about what he feels???.It was risky considering the fact that Captian Chauhan was often extreamly touchy regarding his personal life.............but what if he didnt tell him and he did fall into shona das's trap???.Captian Randhawa was pacing around his room for the past half an hour trying to come to a conclusion...........
Captian Randhawa was now stroling around the kma campus.He decided he wouldnt tell Captian Chauhan now,but would wait till his doubt was confirmed.It was half past three currently and Captian Randhawa was unable to get sleep so he was stroling around the campus hoping that after sometime he would feel sleepy.He was walking past the dormitory building when he saw a faliliar face standing near the window looking pale and sad.It was Vidya,who had woken up,frightened after seeing her regular nightmare of Vansh being torchured to death.Captian Randhawa on seeing her felt a pang of pain in his heart along with a feeling of guilt.He really felt bad for her,and always wished that he could do something for her.He had seen her crying standing below the india tree,knowing that it gave her bitter memories of what happened to Vansh.He felt terrible,and wanted to go and say a few consoling words for her but stepped back.It would be like he was trying to replace Vanshes existance,what if she fell in love with him due to his softness towards her..........and what if she comes to know about the truth???.Major Sharma often told him that he shouldnt behave so brash with Cadet Vidya Saxena,and to be nice to her as she always sought comfort in Captian Randhawa,rather than anyother person in the academy not even her own friends.But what could he do???he really didnt want to hurt her,.......but more than that he was even more scared of one more thing.The more he confronted Vidya the more he began to like her,and each meeting incresed his feelings for her........but he had to stop it before it grew out of control."It cant happen it cant!!!!",he softly spoke to himself,"Its not right........!!!.......shes someone elses!!",he told his self waking away from there his heart in a state of turmoil.
Up in the dormitory Vidya was standing near the window,shivering out of fright.There was silence around her and the only noise there was of Akriti snoring loudly.Then suddenly she felt a familiar warm sensation in her heart,the feeling she had so rarely after he died...........she knew it was him.......though it was equivalent to impossible......."Vansh??"...........
