I wrote a mail to rajeev and this is what he replied:

Dear Mr. Khandelwal,

I know you are very busy now with the car rally and shooting and all but I just could not stop myself from messaging you. I was very scared of calling you up, if it irritated you or something..... thus the mail.

You have been saying from the past few days that your role in LRL will soon come to an end. This came as a huge shock to all of us who had been eagerly awaiting LRL season 2 in the hope of seeing more of our favourite hero Capt. Rajveer and perhaps more romance of our favourite jodi, Raj-Naina. We were all grieved and very unhappy with your sudden decision. We all understand that it is your personal life and you can make whatever decision you want, but as fans, we find you an integral part of our lives. We just want to know what prompted you to do this- is it the script (which DJ's will gladly alter to your choice), the co-stars (with whom you seem to share a great rapport) or the RN love angle (with chemistry as sizzling as Hrithik-Ash…. Or better as SRK-Kajol)?

I never saw Kahin To Hoga and thus came to know about you only because of LRL. This is the show which got you many new fans- a show with a difference, a fresh new look, a show with a huge young fan following. This is the only show on TV which I can bear to watch without feeling like breaking the TV set- with no nonsense and a sensible story.

This is the sort of role most actors dream of getting and you have been fortunate enough to get. And you have given the show much more than what it has given you. It is mainly your fans who see the show. Your style, grace, attitude and superb acting has taken the show to new heights. LRL is now synonymous with your name. Needless to say that after you leave, LRL will lose 90% of its viewers as well as experience a huge drop in TRP ratings, thus leading to a sad end of one of the best shows on TV.

I know that you are a mature human being and take wise decisions- but this one might have a ripple effect with sad results. If you are considering, I hope my mail has helped you and if you have made up your mind and are in no way whatsoever going to change it then….. We fans have no choice but to support you. We will stand by you in all highs and lows of life. You are the best actor on television and will always be the "badshah" of Telly-world.

My friends on a website have posted messages for you and have asked me to forward them to you.

Please do read them. I know it will take a while but don't break their hearts!

Jicksy: I am with Rajeev in his decision to Quit.I kno he has a valid reason for his this particular decision to leave from LRL.I knew earlier itself that he would be leaving.He never put the show down,even now he is happy on havin' got a chance 2 act in LRL.
I believe whatevr decision Rajeev takes would be after thinking well.He had left KTH only bcoz the show was becoming boring.Fans will never say LRL is boring.
But for the person who has done so much to te show if he needs a break we should support him.We have no right to blame him.
Rajeev might have many desires other than working here.He cant forever stay in LRL studio.
After all Rajeev is an humanbeing.We shud thereby give him full power to take his decision.Who are we to judge him..???
He is matured,and i will forever suport his every decision.I am gonna see the show from his point of view.
