War begins in the Minds of Men

I have heard that he won a national award right from the hands of our then PM late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi...for an essay on "War begins in the minds of Men"......

What a Topic and what an apt winner...yes I am talking about Rajeev Khandelwal......

I have personally never believed in face value.....No..i am not the kind of person..who will drool over handsome hunks..actors especially have never made it to my list of favourites..alleast not until 3 and a half years ago.....

I don't watch too much of TV or films..and never connected to actors...it all seemed so artificial..so unreal...so dishonest......but there was something different about Raj from the very first time I saw him.....there was a lot of honesty in his work..his acting....

Over the past 2 years he is no longer a part of the production house that launched him...he has expressed his desire to move on...and fight a lone battle against the idiosyncrasy and monotony of Indian Television today...and sadly a lone warrior he remains in this battle....

He has been subject to a lot of media scrutiny...a lot of criticism...for this act of his....and to be honest not only the media...but at times his fans themselves have been against some career moves made by him....but still he went ahead with them...........

I still don't know if his moves were right or wrong....but one thing that he definitely has proved is that one can survive in the industry..without a godfather and without someone they call the "Queen of Soaps".....Ekta Kapoor.....

And anyway why does he need Ekta as the media has often said..

Ekta is good or as you say best at what...???
1. Showing how low a woman can stoop???
2. Showing how disloyal your sprouse can get??
3. Showing how many children you can have and that too from different men???
4. Showing how many marriages a women can have???
5. Showing endless leaps in her shows...that too un-needed ones????
6. Showing rape and all other nonsense on her so called family shows..???
7. Degrading every relationship that is so dear to any ordinary person??
8. simply getting her actresses a colourful wardrobe with matching accessories...oh ya and not to forget loads of glycerine???
9. Changing the meaning of emotions like love and friendship???from what i have heard she dint even spare the relationship between two sister in your "kasam se"....
10. Launching high budget serial with magnificient sets???

If you are talking abt these things ...i agree that she is the best...the ultimate.....

He failed to get the award for his SAB show until recently........people would probably say that he won because he has a magnificient fan following who would go to any extent for him.....but do they ever wonder...why people of all age groups went on to become such crazy fans of him....its not simply his face...and his chocolate looks...no way....its his versitality..his acting potential...................

Everyone who has followed Raj's shows will agree with me....that he has grown at every stage....I know Time Bomb dint do well...but there did Raj not prove that he can be a perfect action hero?...DYND dint do well either ...but don't you think if you compared the first and last episodes of the reality game show..he showed a marked improvement..a growth....

I wont comment on the acting of others becoz i dont watch anyone else so religiously....but i know one thing..others have shown absolutely no versitality......
Look at Ram Kapoor for stance...who has been winning a lot of applause recently by Ekta herself....Where was he all these years,...Ekta launched him and came to his rescue when his name was almost wiped out from the telly world...he needed Ekta to survive.....

That is definately not the case with Raj....he is survivng without her and doing quite welll....

Now...mark my words...Ram Kapoor will never again get an award for the best actor...for the obvious reason that he will not be able to show any versitality...he will just keep switching btw those two sisters.....
Thats what happen to every Balaji actor...they get a grand launch and then a lot of awards in their first year and thats it....Thats what happened to Smriti..thats what happened to Hiten and thats what will happen to Ram and Prachi......

But look at Raj...every year he is nominated for the best actor,...so are you saying that the jury which has well-known people have no value..... their words have no weight....Ketan Mehta had said "Rajeev is a great actor"..so is he also a fool? Humayun was all praises for Rajeev's acting...dont you think his words have weight?? KK menon said if he had to make a film ..he would choose Raj for it....is he mad too????

Is the whole world mad apart from Ekta?? These are some things the media and all those ppl who feel that Rajeev cannot survive on his own must ponder over and active their lovely gray cells....

When people say foul things about Rajeev I don't get hurt....because I know I am standing for someone who is very honest and very well deserving...

I haven't read Raj's essay on War Begins in the Minds of Men....but after knowing him over these years I can predict one thing....it would have come straight from his heart..and he meant every word of what he wrote..which is probably why he is following it even today....to be a role model for many other aspirants wanting to join the glam industry...that whether the industry is bad or good....but you can survive in it...and that too on our own terms...you just need to ..."Follow your heart"............................

Someone very special€

Doesn€™t it seem strange,how you never really knew a person at all, never cared to find out anything about them,and then you end up one day, thinking day and night only about him? Well, I guess that€™s exactly what happened to me. Rajeev Khandelwal, a name, which, about a year back, did not mean anything to me, and today, this one name means everything to me.

Superstar,great actor, and above all, a very humble and down-to-earth human being, doesn€™t h sound absolutely perfect? Well, unlike most essays, where this question is met with the answer, €œhe€™s not€ this one time,the answer€™s going to be, €œhe is€ . ya, he may not be the tall-dark-and handsome dude we see in old English movies, but he is someone, who has that one quality that sets him apart from every other actor I know. Maybe it€™s his smile,or maybe it€™s his eyes, those eyes which no one can resist! Or maybe,just maybe, it€™s something else. And it was this €œsomething else€ that attracted me towards Rajeev. Whenever he enters into the picture in Left Right Left, I don€™t know, somehow,things just get more interesting. In fact, my mom always says, €œWhenever you feel sad about something,one mention of Rajeev€™s name is going to get back that smile to your face!€ and it€™s true. His name always makes me smile, his voice makes my heart beat louder, and his smile just makes my cheeks go *blush* *blush* *blush*!

He is the only actor,who cares so much about what his fans think. He is the only actor,who had the courage to walk out of a highly successful serial and turn against the wishes of a soap-kueen, all because he knew the script was bad. He may be a superstar, but he is just as approachable,and as friendly and sweet as any other guy you know, and yet, you know he isn€™t just €œany other guy€. he€™s Rajeev Khandelwal.

Perhaps, one day I might turn back and smile at how much he made me smile,without even knowing me! But ya, I know that for me,and for millions of other girls out there, there€™s a special place reserved in their hearts,only and only for Rajeev, and this is one special place,no one can ever take!

Aajeeb hai yeh zindagi… na jaane kab , kaise , kisse , kyun , kiss wajah se milaye , yeh koi nahii keh saktha… pehle do ajnabiyo kii tarah mile , ajnabi se saath kaam karne waale bane , saath kaam karne walo se dost bane , phir dost se sabse ajeez dost bane… ab najaane yeh zindagi inhe aur kya naaye roop dikhayegi… main baat kar rahi hoon un do zindagiyon kii jinke ek hone ke liye kayi log duayein maangthe hai… main baat kar rahi hoon Rajeev aur Aamna ki… jab yeh dono pehli baar mile the tho un mein se kissi ne bhi yeh nahii socha tha kii who aage jaakar sabse achche dost banenge… lekin the destiny has it's role to play aur yeh dono hamesha saath rahe… in dono ne kabhi ek duje ka saath na chodda…. Log kehthe hai kii pyaar kii pehli seedi dosti hothi hai.. in dono ka rishtha yeh baat saabit kartha hai… chahe yeh dono na mane kii yeh ek dusare se pyaar karthe hai , lekin sachchayi tho yahii hai kii in dono ke dil mein ek dusare ke liye beintahaan mohabbat chupi hui hai… inki aankhein inka ek dusare ke liye pyaar ko bayaan karthi hai…. Mujhe aaj bhi yaad hai Deal Ya No Deal mein jab Rajeev ne Aamna se poocha kii " Aamna main akhir baar aur is baar apne liye poochtha hoon Deal Ya No Deal" tab jab Aamna ne kaha "Rajeevvv Deal" tab us pal Rajeev kii aankhon mein dikh gaya tha kii woh Aamna se kiss hadh thak pyaar kartha hai… aur Aamna ne jab kii Ekta se ladayi bina apne career ki parwah kiye yeh dikhatha hai kii Aamna ke liye agar kuch mayine rakhtha hai tho bas woh hai Rajeev… in dono kii jodi poori tarah se apne chaaro taraf jadoo failaathi hai… in dono ka saath inki sabse badi taakat hai… inki dosti ko aaj thak koi thod nahii paaya… in dono ne hamesha apne dosti ke farz ko khoob nibhaya hai….

Iss dosti mein kahiin na kahiin unka pyaar bhi chuppa hua hai… aaj thak unhone kabhi nahii swekaara kii woh ek dusare se pyaar karthe hai.. par phir bhi dekhne waallo ko dikh hii jaatha hai … yeh dono make the perfect couple… unko dekhkar koi bhi yahii kahega kii they are made for eachother , a couple made in heaven..… yeh dono hamesha sabko kehthe hai kii woh bas sabse achche dost hai…lekin inke indirect statements , interviews ka kya kehna…MASHALLAH….. Rajeev tho yeh kehtha hai kii " seldom bestfriends become life-partners"… aur duji taraf Aamna yeh kehthi hai kii " Rajeev tops the list of sabse achcha dost in her life she says kii he is there with me when I need him and vice-versa"… aur tho aur yeh tho public live appearances bhi karthe hai woh bhi pyaar ke diwas par , ek dusare ka khayal rakhthe hai…... ….lekin itna sab kuch hone ke bawajood bhi yeh kabhi nahii ikraar karenge apne pyaar ka… kehthe hai aankhein dil ka aayina hothi hai , aur kabhi kabhi aankhein who baatein bayaan kar jaathi hai joh baatein zubaan nahii kar sakthi.….. aur in dono kii aankhon mein yeh khoob dikhtha hai kii yeh ek dusare ke bina jee nahi saktha…. Inka pyaar aisa hai kii woh ek dusare par kabhi koi baat ko thopthe nahii… woh dono apni zindagiyo ko , profession ko alag alag rakh kar , ek dusare ko space dekar bhii ek dusare ke sabse zyada kareeb hai…. Jab bhi Rajeev ka zikr hotha ho tho Aamna ka zikr bhii sau pratishat lazmi hai… aur waise hii jab Aamna kii baat ho tho Rajeev ke bare mein baat hona zaroori ho jaatha hai…. They are just meant to be together… they can be called soul mates… me signing off my essay with this message life is full of suprises.. life changes every week , every day , every hour , every second…. May be today , tomorrow , next week , next month , ya next year hum sabko yeh khabar mile kii Rajeev Amna shaddi kar rahe hai…. All I can say is GOD BLESS THE JODI RAJEEV AAMNA….NOTHING ON EARTH CAN COME BETWWEN THEM…. WOH SAATH THE…SAATH HAI…AUR HAMESHA SAATH RAHENGE…..
