Bhagyashree has let me down ever since Trisha went missing. I have been waiting for her to make me feel what a mother feels when her child is lost, especially a girl child. The promos of the show have been revolving around that same theme...the fact that everyone is hell bend on conspiracy theories whereas people forget that a mother has lost her child. But sadly Bhagyashree has not been able to touch that cord in my heart.
So I have been watching the DVR of this show cuz of time constraints. Just watched the epi where Bobby gets arrested and for the first time i felt the mother's pain for her child and the fear one feels at the looming danger on her baby. That came from Lavanya surprisingly...the woman who up till now has been the shrewd business woman. For the first time you see the more gentle feelings in this woman who had no time for her family till now...who has an affair behind her husband and children's back... you see her breakdown for the first time and leaning on the same husband for support. You see her as a mother should be... and that broke my heart. How I wish i could see such performance from Bhagyashree who is so central in this story. And Sonali... such thanda reaction to everything...her character may be a borderline bimbo but still she is going through such terrible things and all she can do is look constipated?Rajeshwari and Jai are coming out ahead of everyone else in playing their characters to the T. I love them with their flaws. That is how real people are and Rajeshwari's attempt at keeping her world from falling apart is so relatable...and coming to the breaking point with her son's arrest is so perfect. Her inability to tolerate her daughter's immaturity at such a crucial juncture...all was just beautiful. I love the writer for this episode and Rajeshwari for her understanding of Lavanya.
