yup...harsh is doing a great job as an abusive husband. and so is payel as the victimized wife. pooja not standing up for herself is very real. lots of women even in western countries tolerate abusive relationships for years. btw did they show how pooja got to marry an older man?

I agree Harsh is doing an amazing job but he needs to step out of these creepy men roles...I can't picture him in anything else besides these types of roles...
anyways, Pooja gets on my nerves! Why is she still staying with him? Just leave him! And tell you mother, your family about him! Atleast have a bit of a backbone na? 🤢

I wish she would get some backbone and leave that guy but it doesn't seem likely because she is a "hindustani nari" which means she has to suffer at the hands of her husband.

no i feel eventually she will leave him...but it will take time. she has the small town mentality where being a divorcee is a stigma...plus her younger is yet to get married and she wudnt want to jeopardize that.

OMG, her husband's so creepy. Just goes for her at every opportunity he gets. Loved the way Pooja shut him up by showing him the mangalsutra. I hope she walks out on him soon! She deserves better.

True....she will leave him once she gets over her the stigma that is attached to being a divorcee. Also you right about her younger sibling...her divorce will affect her younger sister...it's sad but such notions do exist in our society. Once she sees the world moving at a fat pace around her...she will get some perspective and hopefully leave that abusive piece of 🤬 behind....sorry I just get mad when I witness abuse....even though it's only on television.

yup...once she decides to leave him too she has a huge battle ahead of her. the guy is very sadistic and wont hesitate to use all means to get back at her.

Pooja has a younger sister who is on the verge of getting married. I think thats another reason why shes keeping mum abt her husband's constant abuse. If she left that jerk or divorced him, it would create a scandal in the middle class background to which her parents belong.
Many times such abused wives stay silent to protect their maayka from badnaami.

But I hope in future, she leaves that jerk and finds her own identity and maybe a decent guy who will love and respect her.

Harsh and Payal both are such good actors, theyre making it very real....but this happens to so many women all over the world.

I think its typical male psychology and complex.....Harsh is much older than her, he feels insecure becuz shes much younger and prettier so he tries to stake his ownership of her by abusing her mentally and physically. Hes a bully of the worst type!

@Pallavi you are correct about the middle class background thinking....It is true that many women fall victim to this all over the world. People think that abuse is a child of a third world country but it is not so...many so called "advanced" countries battle with domestic abuse...case and point...Chris Brown and Rihana in USA.

Lastly I also hope that Pooja gathers enough courage to leave that jerk behind.

@Kshreya2002: I never thought about the whole sadistic angle until you mentioned it...looking at Karan's character it would not be surprising if he made Pooja's life a living hell even after their divorce.

yup...many women in advanced countries too take physical abuse. while in pooja's case it seems to be middle class morals and values...in advanced countries it maybe emotional blackmail ie the guy will come back after a while and apologize and the woman thinks let me give him a chance...things will improve.
karan knew that pooja's mom is coming over so she wud be more vulnerable since she doesnt want her aged, widowed mother with another girl to marry off and living in a small town worried over her. so he asked her to to get the mangalsutra before she came over. ofcourse it was a lucky thing that pooja's mangalsutra landed up with babli.
