Its a gradual unfolding of the truth in a series of revelations where one gets an insight into dutta,s parentage, his family life, his insecurities n vulnerabilities. The amazing beauty of this show is how it slowly builds n leads us to dutta,s dark past and the many secrets of his life. There is this unhurried depiction, a saga, a struggle of a man whose life is nothing but an endless chase in pursuit of truth, love n peace .. and the tragedy in the tale was , his vision, his perception, where love was concerned it was under his nose ,but he was surrounded by past weariness

Hammie the reason i love this thread to bits... You have the talent to unearth the many facets, layers to any plot, to any of the characters n the hidden beauty of the show so that we can admire n relive it 👏

AS,s role is paramount in the shaping up of dutta as the person he was, including his slipping into the underworld business i feel. At the outset one sees dutta blessed with a loving family except bereft of the love n care of a father and in whose place he seems to be holding the fort n doin a commendable job of a provider, protector etc..

yes AS... almost gets away with her confessions to her boy/man.. sturdy fortress.

Dutta,s love, admiration n gratitude towards AS n his sisters is unquestionable. He rightly blames himself for his deviation into the land of crime, (seema,s treachery being the trigger) but as AS also points she as a parent did not do much to prevent. Yet there is a beautiful relation between the two where each seeks the other,s well being above all. Hence AS,s insistence for dutta to marry supriya. She desires to see him settle in life. Yes, she was his guide, God, strength, comfort, idol n everything else whom he looked upto. He was content in this setup. Also have to mention the beautiful screenplay, the fine dialogues, the underplay of shadows n low lighting in the 2nd clip... all adding to the sombre mood where dutta is reflecting n AS confessing.

i agree bart... and in all that you mentioned lies the tragedy..Dutta lived in a family situation like any one else, but he was blind to the plotting and conspiracies, he was fulfilling the role of being the god son, good brother..doing the expected..

But the next clip blew the lid off my head,.. It was a spectacular picturisation of Ganpati visarjan with dutta looking hot in the maroon kurta, the tension was palpable, nailbiting. His line "baap banneka shauq haina tujhe" i must say takes the cake, it was hilarious yet had profound meaning to it. It was not a question but a condemnation of damodar,s role in his life. i can never forget this line, its fantabulous.

it was a galli... the slow mincing way he says it.. emphasizing each word

But what follows was reprehensible n over the top i thought 😲 The treatment of damodar was horrendous and as you pointed hammie ive yet to come across such visuals of a father being beaten up by his own son, howsoever justified the hatred n anger was. "Maafi hogayi ab saza suno" Come again.. Lol what sort of justice is this.. I so wanted dutta to bury the hatchet, forgive the blunders of damodar n move on, but Red hot dutta not ready, huh! 😔 well bart.. Dutta has a firm sense of justice... which he never mixes with weakening emotions of love.. thats what makes him what he is!

And the final blow, the bitter truth, heartwrenching scenes n the curse of DHOKAA!

yesss the biggest crime for him is one someone takes him for a ride..

The final clip is witness to the ripping apart the image of Dutta sriram patil, his identity shattered, his home broken, his family, all lost to the one revelation. Baji too helpless. Mishal,s brilliance (gross understatement) as the broken man left me in tears, only a man robbed of his identity can know the pain, at loss for words really... 😭

ummhhh bart... I CHOKED when I saw it and wrote... really missed those days when I used to watch LTL on telly every 8.30pm.. and lived in the impression of this story.

Hammie aaj tune ruladiya, yaar the wait was totally worth it. Brilliant choice of clippings and an equally brilliant writing by you. The firdt clip showing duttas sister loving him wss a bit ovrr dramatic how they were showering their love on him. ..but a good base to start the show.

DUTTAS past can make anyone dewy eyed. ..how a 5 years old kid was crying for water made me hate his father a lot...he didn't deserve a son like dutta

ganpati visarjan clip was one of the best shot clip of ltl ...it was a wonderful blend of acting direction and cinmetography

both dutta and the other actor playing his father (sorry couldn't remember his name) were head to head in acting. it was Tinnu anand, bollywood famous actor..

Hete we see a bit of blooper by ltl cvs making the whole thing appear like as if it w as a new s for dutta that he b not AS son..

naku finally after standing as the most less utilized avtor came back in action...the person who out did was one and only mishal. ..dutta and his father track though was rushed by creative team looked out of place but mishal with his par excellence skills won the show...his scene with baji near sea shore was great his dialogue delivery expressions were outstanding...one can see the pain in his eye s and he seems actually drunk too lol ...wish we could see his off the shot clips too how he was typicall cheerful mishal after giving an emotional shot.hai?? tu kab se film critic bun gaye.rushed tha track? oyeee hammie is going to carry on a bit in the next bit.. please watch it...

AS being a good mother or bad one I want to maintain silence on this one. ..for me whatever dutta became thats what he ead destined to become...thats what god has penned for him irrespective of his aaye being positive or negative.

His fathers unexpected entry in his life gave him nothing except making him dtand guilty in his own eyes for being responsible of his aaye and sisterr s miseries...this track actually made kala s hater ed towar ds him very just.

warrie thats true gods's will, but in every faith the role of a mother is to bear, nurture , and instruct the child... ok she was a bit more ,she fostered the son of the guy of killed her husband... but she ignored.. his dangerous ways,to suit herself.. warrie damodar track was important .. for kala's hatred for her brother surface .. and there on at least on the home front.. gradually Dutta begins.. to see things as they really are..

I think she was chosen for this scene as the third party reporter.. and also because he would listen to her.. in moments of intense rage
But he controlled himself.& finally this poor guy is begging her mom to say something..😭..Really heart wrenching scene dear..😭...Mishal's expressions are priceless .👏👏👏..Yeah!! In fifth clip Naku became the spoksperson for AS & She told all the truth about his painful childhood.Loved MR"s expressions & Acting.👏👏👏.Hats off to MR.👏👏👏..He did a great job.👏👏👏.He gives life to this Dutta character..Sixth clip is the most favorite of mine..❤️❤️
for me it was great to see Dutta with the one person who had been with him since his youth.. he offloaded emotionally to his friend..

You never fail to amaze hammiee 'the piece depict relationship of dutta 'he was abandon rather sold by his father..Who felt it as simple as losing a game of card..

yes he was abandoned child , neglected child.. who fell prey to his father's addition.. come place here.. can be a mother to.. but such cases if reported.have the clamp down of the social services and child protection agencies.. which take the child into CARE.. now this might be the case in India too.. much awareness is being raised..

The foster fly never accepted as their own'the entry of dutta & his sister's praying for good health..The sham the sister put in front of him..Apart from kala none of the other two were aware dutta wasn't their biological bro'still they used him for selfish purpose..
colors treated the serious subject of fostering rather flippantly , to suit their story line.. but this called hovering over a social issue.. foster homes are checked for suitability by the child care authorities.. but in dutta's case its a family matter.. ghar ka baacha tha..

AS the mom had her selfish agenda good life for her daughters..She never stopped him from criminal route he took

..Father on dead bed realized he needed his son for salvation..Apart from naku dutta never experienced leave luv..Naku's luv was unconditional it filled for void he suffer in rest of all
