Hello hammie Again an interesting take on dutta,s highs n lows. The title suggests what your thoughts are on these clips. True, dutta was a family man n i remembered karan johar,s pet line "its all about family" 😉
Dutta even thou did not have his own family AS gave him the comfort n lov of a family to which he abundantly responded n forever remained a true son, the good son which AS never had. He respected AS immensely, regarded Kalwati highly n luvd leela n roops.. Baji was ofcourse more than a brother.
But his tryst with love changed him from dutta to dutta bhao n then back. It eluded him n changed his life forever.
Hammie you have put it beautifully what these four clips had one thing running in common, the joys n pains of a family. When one suffers the whole family is tensed n when one is happy the rest rejoice too. But sadly dutta had everything in abundance. If AS, baji n naku gave him all the love then the three sisters along with seema n supriya caused him immense hurt n grief not to forget naku as well to a great extent due to her indecisiveness.
Then came his life altering experience of jmm1 where he discovers the truth about himself. In the darkness of the jungle when he thought he was lost Jagtap shows the light n the path. A total stranger becomes his mentor, opens his eyes to love, life n much more.
The last clip makes me emotional everytime i watch it. In the backdrop of "nariyal purnima" dutta is handed another lesson. Hammie i would mostly ignore the importance of these festivities n ceremonies... But you always whether in your Ff or other works brought the beautiful bonding a family shares on such occasions to the fore 👏 I guess this is what makes us stand out from the rest.
Tragically for dutta whenever he tried in all honesty to make mends for his misdemeanour, he invariably had to deal with rejection or treachery. It was as if his past deeds came to haunt him. His appreciation, apology n apeal to naku all goes in vain.. the worse thing was dutta once again was in the dark of the truth behind naku,s reluctance to accept his proposal
Interesting to note that the last scene was edited from screening in UK where dutta is shown to hold the knives .. so i take it that it was considered not suitable for family viewing.
