As far as the media is concerned ...i strongly believe that they have been some what unfair to LTL ...and for MR as well...be it his so called tantrums articles...or those so randoms ones All is not well between MR and MV ofscreen*really*...such plain stupid stuff was so irritating...just trying to spoil it for the viewers

Add to that the channel people seldom contributed in its promotion...as compared to their other favourite shows...be it the special episodes ...promos or any other mean of promotion...LTL has always been ignored...

I believe...LTL was watch and did well mainly because of Dutta...so the person who created the character...should get credit for it...and we would like to know more...What was it in the persons mind...what was the persons inspiration...when he created the character?😊

Coming to this part...Ive always belived that no doubt the writer deserves the credit for penning such a phenomenal character...particularly in this female dominant industry...where male leads are often totally forgotten...coming out of the way and penning DUTTAS charcter is defo an incredible job done by Jayesh Patel...

But So does MR deserves the applauses...even more than the writer...the charcter was merely on a piece of paper...it was MR who brought life into it...otherwise there are many strongly penned characters but the actor just fails to portray it thus spoiling its whole essence...ive seen many serials inspired from novels...some of the best seller novels...but the actors were just not upto the mark...

Add to that whatever lil bit ive gathered about MR through ofscreen segments...the contrast between him as a person and dutta as a charcter...is so so evident...that you even more fall for this man ❤️

I also want know another thing...why was the male lead of LTL hired for few months at a time...Mishal himself confirmed in an interview that he kept extending his contract 6 months at a time.

I guess they had no idea how big this character would become n so soon😉. Combined with this Mishal didnt want to commit beyond a few months. The story was supposed to be about a slum girl, a maid n her life n so on, never about the gangster with a golden heart which is what it went on to become one😃. Dutta's character [credit to the creator n mishal's superlative performance] grabbed all the limelight n nakusha was relegated to 2nd best infact for me it became 3rd best only behind kala. Now it was a catch 22 situation, the show was doin too good n they couldnt rock the boat by allowing mishal leave nor get a better or an equal alternative. Mishal stuck to his deal n wanted to quit but was forced to extend thrice but eventually he did nd the channel was still dillydallying with their decision.

Anirka…agree on everything you said…😊...it was really sad watching MR being hurt over the rumours and him have to clarify it by bringing media on the set. That something the producers or the co-actors should have done.

The creator of Dutta most be very proud and happy that MR portrayed the character so well and with so much conviction. ⭐️Creating a character and see someone giving life to it…must be a beautiful feeling.😊

Would love to hear the creator talk about it…what they put down on a piece of paper and how MR gave life to the character.

Agree...😊...Mishal did grabbed all the limelight.⭐️ It was not only his past...but also his relationship with everyone that got you attach to the character. His scenes with Kala, Aayi, Baji…even Kishoor was mind blowing and can be watch again and again.⭐️

You got a good point about why the contract only went for few months…maybe it is something both MR and the productions house wanted.😊

At the same time I believe…have they given MR are good reason to stay he would have. They should have given MR credit for his hard work…but they (who ever responsible) choose to spread rumours.

I fully understand why MR left.

@red: Agree... He was stuck in deal... due to channel... and they were advertising as tantrums... It would have been better if they would have closed the show with some good ending... Mishal gave them more than required time by extending the contract... but channel was not getting in terms of ending the show that was reaping them TRPs... The story afterwards... everyone knows...

I really don't have any concrete answers but can only happily hypothesize 😃

Like it has already been mentioned in the earlier posts... initially LTL was the story of a female protagonist..the under-dog. The male lead would have been another usual wishy washy character...If it had not been for Mishal...Dutta may not have become a living, breathing legend😊

With Mishal's entry and Dutta and MR's chemistry, the focus totally shifted and it became Dutta Shreeram Patils saga..his life and journey. The legendary DSP was created so painstakingly by Mishal and the writers. It is a team work of passionate educator(writer) who is inspired by a brilliant and motivated student(MR) and vice-versa...the end result a prize-winning research project(DSP)😆

Of course for the PH and Channel it brought the TRP's. There was happiness in paradise but alas not for long🤢😭

Since LTL became Dutta's and Mishal's show, it lead to ill will in the minds of petty, crass and unethical people ...the likes of PS and surely many others. This lead to the various baseless rumors. Since MR did not retaliate and was the epitome of professionalism the media and the channel had a field-day. It doesn't take much effort or brains to write about such suppositions. ..while writing about Dutta would require thinking, research and the ability to analyze and evaluate.

Some even wanted the basti story to continue👎🏼...and forgot about the goose and golden egg.

LTL-1 was never really promoted like the other shows but since the controversy was created by colors...No promos, interviews, SBB, SBS.

Also, I know its sounds like fantasizing...but at times I felt that they were jealous of the character Dutta and his success😕...no wonder post 28 march..they ruined it so much that it became..NRD (Na Raha Dutta)...a chaiwala and a druggie keeping Diggu company 🥱

Ditto girl!! me too felt the same n wondered if i was going crazy with Mishal's exit😃. But they ruined it to the last bit. They undid what LTL stood then on bit by bit n it was no surprise the trps went for a toss. I mean one had to have lost his brains to not to see what was happening to the show with so much nonsense being dished out day in n out n this reminds me of someone's comment then that they put to shame a jalebi with so much twists n turns😆.

I have been thinking the same…they really must have had a big problem with the success of Dutta and MR to go out and totally destroy the character like that.

Who do that...😕

It makes you think…did any of the producers or anyone from the channel ever sit down and watch the show…maybe that is why they never comment on the character…they never watch the show or understand why Dutta was so popular.

They think they made MR's career…not true…MR got what God had planed for him…I do not believe in people making you a star or your career. You get what God has planed for you…your hard work and luck plays in…other people are just sources.

If they gave MR a great roll…they did not do it because they did MR a favour…they chose him because he was the right one for the roll.⭐️

If the character made him popular…then his hard work made the show a hit.⭐️

Anyway...Luckily us...that we have BB and the writer to give us the real story and remember Dutta how he is suppose to be remembered…for us Dutta will always be a character we will never forget and always love.😊

Thanks everyone for liking my thread…there has been some questions in my mind…the show has ended (for me 28th march) and we do not know how long this forum will be active…just would like to discuss and talk about topic that cross my mind and questions I wish we could get an answer to.😊

Another thing I want to know...after Mishal resigned and gave his notice why wasnt his exit planned properly? The trps were good...but the episodes were bad quality wise. There was no proper confrontation between Dutta and Kala as well as Chaskar. Instead we had lot of drag with Tasha going to jungle and setting up a house where they never lived. Not to forget the drag around Seema with so many hit and miss sequences.
