When I was in 2nd grade, my family went on camping trip to Colorado. My cousin sister, who was in 4th grade, was telling me stories about how kids had gone off into the wild and gotten raised by wolves. I totally believed her and thought it was awesome, so I announced to the whole family that I was going to run away into the forest and get raised by wolves. I got this handkerchief and tied it around a stick and put a tube of toothpaste in there and walked off into the night. My whole family was laughing and saying "bye bye!!" because they thought I was joking and would come back in 5 minutes.

Well on the inside I didn't really buy the whole wolf thing, but I was too stubborn to turn back. I walked into the night, and after 20 minutes of walking, I realized I had no idea where I was. I heard real coyotes howling and it scared the crap out of me. I was bawling my eyes out and I had walked almost completely out of the park grounds before my dad found me.😆
