MR Bagged the role, gave his best Day in day out...and made Dutta Bhao character Iconic. The difference here is Daily soaps are viewed by a lesser and selected audience than a cricket Match or film. SO the impact of the character automatically varies in terms of audience number.
But those who have seen MR enacting the role from the very beginning can actually tell that no one from TV industry could have even come close to His act. He is the one who brought Dutta Bhao character to life and that will be the case forever.

I have often asked myself, people who continue to watch the show can they even relate to this new guy as Dutta ? After watching MR its so difficult.

For me its impossible to imagine someone else as Dutta - I have not atempted too either.

But if one of these actors had played DSP at the first instance maybe things were different. DSP would not have been an iconic character as it is now. 😃
